These edited screenshots are from a lovingly crafted film of Malcolm's life, "It's Me Baby." It was created and directed by Devin Miller, while in his junior year in 1997. I recommend everyone interested in Malcolm to see it! 😊

Malcolm reminds me of #CarlPerkins , I suppose that's why I'm so fond of him. 🥰 Too, they shared a number of things in common: Both started at Sun Records around the same time, both were sidelined by Sam Phillips.
.
By that, I mean Carl was chosen over Malcolm as Sam's priority, while in 1957, Carl was put out to pasture at age 25. Both were rowdy men who became more family oriented, and both left their mark on Country and Rockabilly music history.
.• ⭐ •.
It's interesting, in 1953, Malcolm had actually seen Carl and the Perkins Brothers Band perform in his hometown, Covington, Tennessee. He said Carl had a unique blues style, unfortunately, that's about all he could share.
.
Malcolm joined at age 35, in 1953, and his years spent on the Sun label had been on and off. Malcolm and his band the Star Rhythm Boys, had tried so hard to get their start but they disbanded in 1958. He had become disfranchised with the music business, so he retired, went back working as a welder to support his family.
.• ⭐ •.
Although he'd daydream of what could've been, and he appreciated the renewed interest in his music in the '80s, he wouldn't change a thing. He was happy to put his rowdy ways down and devote his life to his family.

Quote from the short film: ❝My wife and I, we’ve been married 58 years, last January the 14th. She loves me and I love her, we have 5 children, 3 boys, and 2 girls, we have 11 grand-children, and we have two great grandchildren… And it’s a pretty good-sized family if you try to get them in this small house of mine.❞

„Jerzyna ze Szczecina”. Tak ma na imię mój beret ze zdjęcia :) Mój mąż lekko się uśmiecha na jego widok. Jest totalnie moherowy, puchaty i babciny. Jednak najcieplejszy na świcie, przyjemnie miękki i delikatny a nade wszystko - bardzo ciepły. A to jest takie połączenie, które zmarźliuchowi odpowiada najbardziej. Wkroczyłam już w zimowy nastrój. I choć zimę lubię pod warunkiem, że trwa dwa tygodnie, jest biała i jasna, to marzą mi się zdjęcia w bardzo zimowych ubraniach, w niesamowicie rażącym po oczach śniegu. Choć przestałam już wierzyć  w to, że on kiedyś znowu spadnie na te moje niziny… Tak czy inaczej, ubieram się warstwowo, puszyście, a zwieńczeniem zimowej mnie stała się… Jerzyna.
