I could write 5016 words on @kurtcobain and how pointless it is he died but how beautiful he lived. I know this because I once wrote 5016 words about that.
I decided not to do it again but I still can't help but write a little.
When I first heard Kurt sing I thought he was just another one of those sexist rednecks who like to make noise. I thought that "Smells Like Teen Spirit" actually wasn't that much of a bad song the second time. And the third time... well, that was the time I bought Nevermind and literally didn't stop listening to it for 1.5 months. I heard it over and over again.
It's weird how much of an impact a person that you have neither seen or even communicated with can have on your cute little life. Kurt changed mine a lot. He was the first celebrity ever I could actually identify with. And not only that, I was suddenly feeling so touched by the art that someone else had created. I had entered the world of music already, but Kurt will always be the one who keeps its doors open and makes sure I won't walk out again.
This is the best I can do at pop art and the best I can do at drawing Kurt Cobain.
Kurt is missed, and Kurt is apprechiated and I miss and appreciate him as well, but I get it. Peace, Love, Empathy. •
