Located at 184 Baldwin St in the heart of Kensington market in Toronto is Search and Rescued. While there was once a host of vintage army surplus and work wear stores in Kensington, they are starting to close as a result of increasing rents. -
Army Navy Deals once located across the street at 199 Baldwin St just shut down to make way for a new Hummus inspired restaurant. What makes Search and Rescued stand out is the bright red and white graphic painted on the front.
This location is not historic, but has had a number of businesses operating out of the space including a fish store, grocery and My Market Bakery, which had relocated from 172 Baldwin, before closing in 2014 due to a battle with employees over unpaid wages.
