Green tea contains compounds that appear to control inflammation and fight bacterial 🦠infection. This drink is also rich in antioxidants, which have many health properties 🥰
As green tea controls bacteria 🦠 & lowers the acidity of the ph in the mouth and dental plaque it could be useful in preventing cavities.
Green tea’s anti-inflammatory powers seem to help control periodontal (gum) disease 👄

However is it so important to note that for optimal oral health, you must see your dentist 👩🏽⚕️every 6 months, follow a good oral hygiene routine and have a healthy balanced diet overall 💓
"Are you going to specialize?" That's one of the most common questions I am asked. Earlier this school year, I met a pre-dental student and that was one of their first questions. As I explained that there wasn't one field of dentistry that stood out to me, and that I wanted to work first for a few years, I could see their face fall, carrying a look of disappointment.
In turn, I felt rather hurt. Does success always have to mean specializing? What's wrong with being a general dentist? I've worked hard these past four years as a dental student, and I've grown to enjoy general dentistry, especially being able to do a variety of treatments. Sure, I have many classmates who knew from day 1 that they wanted to be an orthodontist, or an oral surgeon, and that's wonderful! However, I can't commit to pursuing a speciality right now when I don't know for sure that that is what I want to be doing for the rest of my career.
I'm open to going back to school, if, after a few years of general dentistry, I develop an affinity for one field. But for now, I'm happy to say that I'll be starting my career as a dentist in a little over five months, excited to be exploring the vast scope of dentistry. ❤️
