Daruma dolls are constant reminders of the what the Japanese call the ganbaru spirit. Life is full of pitfalls and bumps on the road. It’s inevitable that you’ll stumble sometimes.
But it’s up to you to get back up. It’s in your own power and will to keep moving. The doll embodies this popular Japanese proverb: Nanakorobi yaoki. "Fall down seven times, stand up eight." A Red Daruma is for a goal related to luck and good fortune.
A Purple Daruma is for a goal related to health and longevity.
A Yellow Daruma is for a goal related to security and protection.
A Black Daruma is for protection against evil and
A White Daruma is for a goal related to love and harmony.
A few watch stands going through the workshop so nothing new to show. I make several style watch stands, the first one is possibly the one I make least but although time consuming it’s one of my favourites. I also make the odd custom made order like the final picture. It amazes me how many of these I sell. #pocketwatchstand#display#picketwatch#woodturnersofinstagram#woodturning
