✨Two Cent Tuesday:✨ Today we are going to talk dirty 😏, and when I say dirty I mean all things sewer scope. 🏠 And yes, this is a massively important thing to consider when doing your home inspection. 🔍
Let's first start at the beginning. What the heck is a sewer scope anyways? A sewer scope is a super exciting video of your sewer line from the home to the city main. 🌏 The sewer professional will find the best entry point in the house, run a long cable with a camera, and analyze every inch of the line. The technician will look for any holes, breaks, or creaks that could lead to a more significant problem down the road. 👇
Now, why does it matter if you get one or not?🤔 Well, a sewer scope will cost around $150. And friend, trust me when I say this, it will be the best money you'll spend. That $150 scope that could potentially show a hole in your sewer line could be thousands of dollars to fix. 💲💲Sewer line repairs are far from cheap and almost always lead to additional fixes. Spending the money ahead of time is the best way to ensure that you are not taking on sewer line repairs after you close. Because let's be real, that would be poopy (haha). 💩
Taking the time ⌚ and money upfront to ensure your sewer line is looking a-ok is so essential. From personal experience, if you need to repair, it is much easier to ask the sellers to do that, than have to do it yourself. So remember, when you are working through your inspection phase, ALWAYS get your sewer line scoped! 💪
I was going to be very positive today but this day started with me walking into a glass door and later forgetting my wallet at the cafe I got my breakfast sandwich and coffee. Walking into a clear glass door in front of over two dozen people was embarrassing to say the least and the awkward "are you oks" didn't help but I tried to laugh through it. As for my wallet I didn't realise I didn't have it until I was getting ready to make a coffee run. After a massive freakout, I retraced my steps by calling a few places until the lovely people at the coffee shop told me they had it. This day started out awkward as hell and filled with a lot of stress and anxiety but I'm determined what remains of it won't be anything like the morning. I'm going to have a positive afternoon here in bed with my current reads and lots of homemade coffee. How do you deal with a stressful morning? And what did you do the last time you lost or misplaced something? I freak the hell out until I think "what would my mom do" which usually calms me down and gets me to focus.
