There's the well known saying that goes..."IF YOU CHANGE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THiNGS, THE THiNGS YOU LOOK AT CHANGE.
What you see not only depends on how you look at it and the perspective that you have, but also how you view yourself.
Life can get challenging at times. The road and the journey to achievement can get complicated.
Let this post serve as a reminder that you can handle whatever your journey throws at you.
You have to look at your challenge a little differently and realize that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.
Instead of focusing on the problem...seek out the possibilities.
Instead directing your attention toward the difficulty...direct it toward the opportunity.
Let the REAL you stand up...
The smallest change in perspective can transform your entire life and when you realize how powerful you truly are...that's when you'll become unstoppable. #DreamCatchers ✊🏾💯
A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.~Zen Shin
I love looking at life through the eyes of nature. There is no competition in nature. Everything just does their own thing and goes at their own pace.
This quote reminds me of how I feel with social media. It's so easy for me to compare my life to others, which would result in either making me feel worse or better about myself.
I would look at people who seemed to have all of their shit together, travelling to places I wanted to go, driving their luxury cars, living in their beautiful homes, looking so in love with their spouse and just living large. This would usually result in me not feeling good enough. Not earning enough money, not being a good enough wife, not being a good enough mother, not having enough.
Then I would see others who were satisfied with the very little they had, smiles on their faces. Simple living was enough. This would remind me of just how blessed I am and how grateful I am to live the life I live.
Do people don't actually post pictures of when things go wrong? Not usually. They only post when things go right. But we never know what happens behind closed doors or the journey that they've been through. The good, the bad and the ugly. This is all of us. No one is exempt. That's just the way life is. What seems perfect usually isn't, simply because perfection in life doesn't exist. It's a concept that causes many people unnecessary suffering, including myself.
So as much as I can, I try to live without judgement. Judgement of others and of myself. Especially myself. I am good enough and I'm only getting better with each experience I enjoy or endure. This is my journey. I am my own flower and I allow others to be their own flowers too. And for those that bloom bigger and brighter, I remind myself that they are there to show me what's possible. And for those that are just staring to bloom, I can be an inspiration for them to know what is possible for them too. I'll just keep my face towards the sun and soak in all of its goodness because that's the only thing in life that I have control of. Just me and my own perspective.
Happy Friday y'all 📚Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.📚 Booker T. Washington - 1856-1915 - Political Leader
You may have heard me say it before, (let’s be honest, you’ll PROBABLY hear me say it again) but I! LOVE! MY! JOB! And while I could go on all day about why, I’ll limit this post to my single favorite part: I am constantly challenging the perception my own limits. There’s nothing like the feeling I get when the obstacles that once seemed impossible are whittled down to minor speed bumps after a little grit and creative problem solving.
My husband and I are such a great team. He is the big picture/chemist, and I am the creative, knitty gritty get things done. We even have a silly saying when we are faced with one of those horrendously large tasks --- "Wonder twins activate!" Super corny, I know, but together there is nothing that we cannot accomplish especially with the help of our AWESOME team!
What do you love most about what you do?
🍁 How amazing have these 40 degree mornings been?! Waking up all nice and warm under the covers with a cold nose from leaving the windows open at night...my favorite way to start the day.
Every morning the first thing I do is start my diffusers. Here are some blends to get you in the fall spirit. Today I’m diffusing ‘Cinnamon Crisp’. What are you going to try?

1 juniper berry

3 Cinnamon Bark

Such a fun day stepping out of my comfort zone and golfing a the Sutton Group - Heritage “Nine & Dine” @royalashburn this week. Thanks to my incredibly supportive and encouraging team mates who helped me “not suck”!! It was actually so much fun 🏌️♀️
Yay Friday! There are lots of new faces around here which makes me so excited - welcome! If we haven’t met, I’m Brenna, the owner and designer behind Ivy + Linen Design Co. I love creating classic and beautiful paper goods for my clients (you!), and serving you best by simplifying the whole process. It should be fun and memorable - I take care of everything so you don’t have to! To make our virtual friendship official you should probably know that I love ice cream, reading is one of my favorite ways to relax (I’m in a book/wine club 😉), I overthink absolutely everything, I’m an Enneagram 6 (hence the overthinking), and I love to dance - not like formally or anything, just I am going to be out on that dance floor at your wedding kind of thing! I’m so glad you’re here!⠀

The results you are getting right now, in every area of your life, reflect what you believe.
GRIP STRENGTH!! Let's talk about it y'all! Grip strength is fundamentally one of the most important muscle groups and movements in ANY gym routine as well as THE MOST Important for life tasks in general! If you cant grip it...you cant rip it! Lol
So why dont we see people train it? RESOURCES! I've been to many gyms in my time and have never scene ANY grip strength equipment at any of them! When asked if they can obtain some, I usually get the generic "deadlifts do grip" or they point to a forearm exercise which is NOT THE SAME! The deadlift excuse may be true but to a certain extent! The hands are very malleable and really can contour to any type of surface. Getting limited to just one surface like a bar, limits the gainz that can be made!
That's when I found out about captains of crush in the photo! These things are amaaaazing! Not only making my grip stronger but also has added benefits of deadlift performance, bench press and even overhead and biceps! .
We us our hands EVERYDAY, it's time we start working on them too!👊🏼

Sweaty Full Body Circuit 💪🏼
You can do this routine at the end of your resistance training for some extra cardio or if you’re just running short for time and looking for a good sweat sesh😉. I recommend completing 2-3 rounds 👌🏼
As for rest, take about 15 seconds rest to transition between exercises. Once you complete a FULL round in the circuit, rest for 90 seconds. Of course, if you need more, TAKE IT ✋🏼
1️⃣ Push-up to half squat - 10 reps
2️⃣ Box jumps - 10 reps
3️⃣ Wide Grip pull-ups - 8 reps
4️⃣ Med Ball slams - 10 reps
5️⃣ Handstand lateral Wall Walks - 5 Steps each side

If you know me, then you know this is 100% true🤣 I love a healthy lifestyle but I love “balance” even more! .
• I’ve been the crazy-workout-all-the-time chick
• I’ve counted every calorie I put in my mouth before • I’ve beat myself up after eating that dessert in the past
I did them all at one time or another and I’M OVER IT! Life is just too dang short. My philosophy is eat healthy as much as possible, fuel your body for its best performance and longevity, keep moving and exercise regularly, avoid sugar and unhealthy fats for the majority of the time........but every once in a while, EAT THE DOUGHNUT! If you haven’t had one in a while, your probably driving your people crazy with your hangry, doughnut-craving self🤪 Treat yourself, give yourself permission and enjoy dessert every now and then 🌟
So it’s officially Friday and it’s time to run to @dgdoughnuts for the most insane treat you’ve ever had in your life! This is their Chocolate Caramel Walnut Crush. A huge (like 3x bigger than the average doughnut) DG ring dipped in warm dark chocolate and topped with rosettes of rich caramel icing and vanilla whipped cream. Finished with chopped English walnuts. You deserve it friends😘
Happy Friday Friends💋
Yaaay!!! It's my second birthday(LOL). The vision was birthed exactly a year ago. It was tasking, challenging and energy-sapping(mental) initially, but it is/was worth the investment. I'm glad I gave this a chance and I'm grateful to all those who have been my support system from day 1, those who criticized me (they only motivated me to be better) and those who will embrace the idea.
One year down, forever to go. *

Thanks for sharing @grounded.panda#inflexibleyogis ・・・ No matter where you are in your journey, it’s so important to take the time to come back to the beginning whether you have been practicing for 2 months or for 10 years.
This sequence is perfect for grounding, bringing awareness to your body, and slowing down your thoughts.

A step in the right direction! 🌍
Coke’s moves follow similar announcements from their competition: Pepsi’s Aquafina brand which also announced the introduction of aluminum cans for its own water distribution business.
“Designing our packages to reduce the amount of raw materials used and incorporating recycled and renewable content in our bottles to help drive a circular economy for our packaging is an important part of our commitment to doing business the right way,” said Sneha Shah, group director, Packaging Innovation, Coca-Cola North America. “We are working diligently to continually reduce our overall environmental footprint through smarter package design and procurement of recycled and renewable materials while continuing to deliver exceptional consumer experiences.”
Although this is not the ultimate goal, this is a big step towards a more eco aware economy. 💚
