If you’re not a teacher, you probably won’t understand. 🤷🏻♀️
Today was hard. Like, really hard. It felt like it lasted 15 hours. But I made it. And I’m thankful that even though I felt terrible, I was able to be breathe and be present with my students.
This time of the year is the most difficult. Enter lots of sickness, students cooped up with no recess because of weather, seasonal mental health issues, and standardized testing.
As a teacher, we can just “work from home” when we have a hard mental health day or a screaming migraine. We show up. We push forward.
Anybody else struggling right now?
We will through this with each other’s support ✌🏻

Mental health is so much more than thoughts.... it’s action after thought!
Allowing others to dictate your happiness will never allow happiness it will only keep you trapped in depression!
I know all to well about depression & crawling through darkness!
I have allowed others to control me for so long that it became my normal and I was the one keeping myself caged not them!
Nothing in life worth it will ever be easy especially exposing and letting go of everything and everyone who isn’t creating truth & love!
Ask yourself this “ are they rowing the boat beside me or drilling holes behind me! @battlefieldself
#Sisterhood and #Friendships go hand in hand and at times all you will have is just a sisterly bond. Ask yourself; What expectations do I have for this friendship and sisterhood? Is it being built on anything other than the laws? Can we correct each other in love? Are we sharpening each other and promoting growth? If you aren't meeting these expectations for each other prove longer, pray for each other and above all have charity. Endure Israel.
Come one, come all, our March meeting of the Central Kitsap Community Council is all about health and taxes... I wanted to call it 'Death and Taxes', and was voted down 😏... Our meetings are always for the public, we represent you to the County, and the County to you. This month you don't want to miss!
Coronavirus and other hazard mitigation reviewed at public meeting March 4
Learn more about how the Kitsap Public Health District is monitoring the coronavirus and Kitsap County's plan to mitigate other natural and man-made hazards at a community meeting Wednesday, March 4, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Best Western Silverdale Hotel, 3073 NW Bucklin Hill Road. Kitsap County Commissioner Ed Wolfe invites the public to join him in welcoming Dr. Susan Turner, health officer of the Kitsap Public Health District, and Elizabeth Klute, director of the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management, at a public forum to discuss these important timely topics.
The presentations take place during a meeting of the Central Kitsap Community Council, which will also include an overview of 2020 changes to property taxes with Kitsap County Assessor Phil Cook and Treasurer Meredith Green. Theresa Smith of Kitsap County Public Works will provide an update of the Seabeck Highway improvement project.
The meeting is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend from all areas of the county. There will be opportunities for public comment.
How do YOU stop yourself from getting caught up in anxiety- or depression-driven thoughts when they show up? I absolutely adore this quote by Lucius Annaeus Seneca and find it to be SO TRUE, especially in cases of anxiety and depression. The thing is, the human brain is wired in way that doesn’t always make life easy on us. We have quick-to-react mammalian brains that don’t give a DAMN about logic, coupled with a “new” neocortex (think 2 million years old) that helps us imagine, envision, and think complex thoughts. It is these abilities that make us different from other animals. In therapy, I help educate people about the neurobiology of different mental health issues and provide tips on how to work WITH the wiring your brain has rather than making things worse for yourself.

Omg 😂😂 Come on y'all do your science! Babies are 100% biodegradable. I mean I think STDs might be in a way as well... they are organic arnt they?
Don’t wait, evaluate! 💫The earlier a child starts intervention, the smaller the delay! This sets the child up for greater success and a better chance to catch up to their age equivalent peers at a greater rate 🙌🏾
BALL POSITION ❌ HIT THE TARGET 👀 When striking the ball its really important that you’re not stretching for it 😳 OTHERWISE THIS HAPPENS 😂 Ball should be inline with your left heel in order for a clean, along the floor connection 👊🏼 BANG IT 💥 #TakeTheLEAP 🐸🏑 -
Swipe through to see how @somachi_k and @iamsarahugamah are using Lent to teach their boys more about sacrifice, giving and drawing closer to God.
While Lent is mostly observed by the Catholic and Anglican (Episcopal) denomination, Evangelicals, Baptists and other Christians are beginning to take more cognisance of this time set aside as we count down to Easter- the period when Christians remember the Death and Resurrection of Jesus (The Passion). The truth is that we should teach our children about Christ every day not just by words but by our deeds. Let them see you walk the talk and as you train them early in the way they should go when they are old they will not depart it.

“The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The opportunity of like is to serve. The secret of life is to dare. The spice of life is to befriend. The beauty of life is to give.” ~William Arthur Ward

Mix it up 🖤 One of my new fave places to train @vault_164
People at times can get very hung up on what was suppose to be VS what is.
They mourn this thing (relationship, job) for years and never realize that the “thing” that was suppose to bring them happiness really was never going to.
If you are really honest with yourself you can look at that ex partner, the relationship, the job and know that it was not what you wanted.
It wasn’t even capable of being what you wanted, but you settled (hell we all do at times) and took less than what you deserved, then felt disappointed by the ending and now are continuing to suffer in a place of sheer projection on what YOU thought this thing should have been.
Regardless of what has happened to you, you can still have what it is you truly want for yourself but it starts with consciously believing that.
Yes, yes I have. I’ll take that as a compliment 🙌🏼 I hope to always be changing, evolving, learning & growing.
I look back on the past couple years of my life and holy shit am I grateful. Grateful for every person, place & experience which has contributed to my growth. Thank you, thank you 🙏🏼
I love the person I’ve been & I am even more in love with the person I am becoming🦋
