What is the best way to save for a down payment on a home? 🏠
The first step is to talk to a loan originator (me, lol) and then discuss how much of a mortgage you can qualify for. Usually, your housing expense should not exceed 28 percent of your stable monthly income.
Then decide on your time frame for purchasing a home. Take the amount of down payment you will need and then divide that by the number of years you have to save.
When saving for a down payment, do not invest that savings amount into risky investment vehicles like stocks, but deposit it into a savings account or a certificate of deposit.
Cutting back on expenses and setting aside a certain amount each month may seem like a difficult task but there are ways of doing so without compromising on too many of your daily activities.

The difference between Mortgage insurance premium and Private mortgage insurance.
MIP is forever on your loan, unless you refinance it with different loan program.
PMI will not be effective when your loan to value is 80% or more.
All the loans that I funded so far has no prepayment penalty.
It means that you can pay off your loan early without any penalty.
