Both jobs and new freelance clients. In the summer, I had space for one or two new clients and the first place I went to was LinkedIn. Within a few weeks, I had new clients. People I had never met before or had any link with outside LinkedIn. If you’re looking for a new job or client, I’d really encourage you to use LinkedIn. If something’s holding you back, I’d love to know what it is or if you have any specific questions you’d like me to answer. I’d love everyone to be able to replicate my success so I’m looking at designing a workshop or online course to launch in the new year. Let me know if you’re interested. And to answer my own question 😀 I spend about 1-2h a week on LinkedIn and last week over 50 people who I would love to work with accepted my connection requests. For me, there is nothing like it. I’d love to hear your experiences, thoughts and tips 😀

One of the most important things to me in my working life has been to maximise the positive impact I can have on others. So I spent the first decade of my career working for some amazing charities and being part of raising over £15m over that time. In my second decade, I’m using entrepreneurship and the power of the market to make positive change. This journey has been crazy! From being part of the launch team for @_thesoapco to making donations of at least 10% from my profits. Now I’m setting up my own business, I’ve been thinking about the organisations that I know are doing amazing work and thinking about how I can support them. @youngwomenstrust was one of the first ones I thought of. I’ve been one of their Future Fund for a while now, funding young women to get professional coaching. As I design my new website, I’m going to include them and the work they do. Each coaching session they provide is hugely impactful so I’m also thinking about how I could include a way for my clients, as they use coaching to develop, could find young women who are struggling on low or no pay to get work that’s right for them. What do you think? Would that be something you’d like to do?

How do you celebrate and what do you celebrate? I only used to celebrate the really big things. Maybe once a year at most. More recently, I’ve started to celebrate and be actively thankful for so many things that just used to pass me by. I love reading about the success of other women I know so I’m going to get over my natural reluctance to share my successes. This was to celebrate the completion of a big project for a huge multinational company. During the programme, I delivered over 60 1:1 coaching calls and many hours face to face in the training room. In the end the feedback was overwhelming and positive. My favourite moments were those when someone had a lightbulb moment or a breakthrough. When they said things like “wow, I hadn’t thought about it that way, that’s so helpful” or my ultimate favourite “I’ve just had an epiphany!” Many people contributed to making it a success and I’ve said thank you to them all. I wonder what moments in your working life would you like more of? What could you celebrate this week?

“I have to cuddle my children at night when they wake up and call me. I’m not getting much sleep...” I was telling my friends in last few weeks.
And last night it dawned on me that I get to do that! I’m so lucky and grateful!
I remember those days before children when I was longing for years and years to have them. And now I GET TO cuddle them in the middle of the night. There are people out there who wish they could cuddle their child one more time... That really changed my perspective. It gave me a new wave of patience and appreciation. So when my son came to my bed and woke me up again at 2am, I gave him an extra special cuddle and was filled with gratitude.
And it works in other areas too!
Do you get to go to work? Great! There are so many people who wish they were in your position!
Do you get to pay house bills? Be grateful for having a home!
Do you get to pay taxes? Great! That means that a)you have an income, b) you passed the threshold! Well done!

🐝MAKE SPACE in your life in order to welcome in abundance. Declutter physically, digitally, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Get rid of any beliefs that don’t align and no longer serve you.

Get exceptionally clear on what it is you want, how you want your life to be, how that’s going to look and feel - drill down and get precise about what you wish to attract into your life. What an amazing day, wow where to start! Well I met in real life my spiritual business coach @joannahuntercom and I cried because I have spoken to her online for a few years, I took her course on oracle card making which helped me launch mine, I am in her Divine Planning and abundant profit academy and with her help, smashed my monthly target, so it was very wonderful and emotional to hug her in real life.
Then @denisedt came on the stage and had so many nuggets of brilliant information, we had workbooks to fill in through the day and gained clarity on what is and isn’t working in our businesses, I have so many ideas and plans to implement now, I’m really excited for our future.
At the end we got to meet her and get our books signed! What I love most is, she is a really down to earth woman and mother like you and me that has done a lot of mindset work and is now a millionaire, who does what she loves, helping women around the world unlock money blocks. Just brilliant.
I also got to meet other lucky bees and divine planning, abundant profit ladies and spend time with them, such a great buzz in and out of the room.8 21 17 October, 2019

At today’s workshop we learned how to create a life and business that works for the real you.
The message that has stayed in my heart is this one. I meet so many of you amazing people, who are still learning how to love and approve of yourself.
You can have the best plans for your life and business, but if you can’t accept yourself as you are, it will always be a struggle.
Nothing will ever be enough, because you don’t feel like you’re enough.
It is possible to heal from this. Leaning into your worst thoughts, with someone who can hold you in your pain, is the first step in healing.

You know they say that you write the book you need? Well this is the post I need to read today. I’ve spent the day writing and refining a compelling 1 page business plan. I feel excited, compelled and totally terrified. It’s bringing up a lots of perfectionism fears - really silly things like ‘I can’t get my website done because I haven’t finalised my brand colours’ This is madness! And I had an epiphany today. I’ll give you some background. I created this short online course and hosted it on a platform which pays me royalties. The course has had an great reception! Over 500 people have done it and it has 100% positive feedback. I’ve made about £300 in royalties for it. If I’d sold it myself, I would have made between £25,000 - £50,000 for that course. Conservatively. And the reason I didn’t sell it myself was I didn’t think it was good enough yet. Ouch. That is a hard lesson to learn and I am on a mission not to make the same mistake again. What’s the worst that can happen? I spend £50,000 to acquire those 500 customers but at least they’ll be my customers who will buy from me again. What is the cost of your perfectionist tendencies? Prior warning that prices will be rising on 1st January 2020.
This is to reflect, not only general cost of living/inflation type rises, but also the fact that my knowledge, skills and experience is widening every day. I work hard to keep on top of the current evidence base regarding maternity care and with every interaction I learn more about what really makes a difference to people navigating their choices.
In addition, I will be completing my recognised doula qualification this month, and so everyone I teach will benefit from this addition string to my bow.
However, as a mother of two approaching the season to be 'jolly' (skint), I also want to be fair to those who need my services. So if you book a 2020 course (with £50 deposit) before the 1st January 2020 then my current prices will stand. And you can then spread the cost over the extra months you've gained.
I still also have 1 space for the November and 3 spaces for the December group course, you can be the first to benefit from my additional skill set.
Lots of people spread the cost of Christmas- this thing that comes every year. You only give birth to your baby once, so prepare to be empowered!

I’m updating and relaunching my ‘Create a Career Vision’ course. I’m reviewing the title and the content and would love your feedback. It’s a rapid, online, self paced course and by the end of it you have a compelling vision for your career. What do you think of the title? Would it be better to be called something else? I came across this photo today and had to share! It was taken over three years ago now and I’m doing what I love - running workshops and delivering training. And obviously getting way too excited about flip chart pens! This photo also makes me sad because I’ve never shared it before or used it in any of my marketing materials or channels. And I still have a small fear about sharing it today. Why? Because I’m pregnant in the photo. The reasons behind that deserve their own blog article but simply put it’s being scared. I wonder if you have any professional photos you haven’t shared because you’re pregnant or because they show you have a family?
