”Of human life the time is a point, and the substance is in a flux, and the perception dull, and the composition of the whole body subject to putrefaction, and the soul a whirl, and fortune hard to divine, and fame a thing devoid of judgement. And, to say all in a word, everything which belongs to the body is a stream, and what belongs to the soul is a dream and vapour, and life is a warfare and a stranger's sojourn, and after-fame is oblivion.” #marcusaurelius#philosophy#life#whatmatters#california#ocean#mendocino#pacificnorthwest#beautiful#livet

"In solitude, or in that deserted state when we are surrounded by human beings and yet they sympathise not with us, we love the flowers, the grass and the waters and the sky. In the motion of the very leaves of spring in the blue air there is then found a secret correspondence with our heart." Percy Bysshe Shelley
"To have deep roots in a place means having dead buried there. It is almost that literal, the dead forming your bond to the earth and to the others whose dead lie buried there. I always had that bond whether I knew it or not." - Julene Bair
My father in laws ranch, which is full of northern mendocino history. There are 2 people buried next to this tree that have been there since a homestead arrived in the late 1800s.
🧠💡 Why workout back?
From my experience it helps me keep my posture strong when I walk I don’t even have to correct myself, if you like long distance running and/or high intensity training it makes a huge difference for keeping up to that last mile and I gotta say this one: neck and lower back pain when pushing, pulling, lifting objects everyday
According to @livestrong_com back routine is 🔑 for:
- Structural necessity
- Keeping a balanced body
💧Here is a back workout routine that you can get some nice quick results. Is always say if you are designing your routines do the ones I post for 2 weeks. First week is the trial and error where you take notes so that your second week you go in the gym knowing what to expect and really challenge the back muscles adding weight and/or focusing on form and speed
- 3:15 single lat pulls
- 4:8 go heavy heavy with this barbell bent over rows followed by 1: (15) drop set which means add a rep where you will choose a weight lower
- 4:10 single upper back straight arm pulls
- 3:12 rope pull holds
- 4:15 single lumbar pulls
- 3:10 neutral grip pull ups
- 3:12 single hammer grip lumbar pull with external rotation combination
- 4:10 wide underhand straight arm back pulls
- T-BAR 3 Drop sets - max out to failure underhand .
#ecuador#guayaquil#florida#miami#california#northcalifornia#ukiah#mendocino#training#workout#mindfulness#onelove#selfcare#self#love#unite#trainsmart#focus#discipline#routine#resistance#creativity#endurance#results#goals

ACTION ALERT: We need your comments before the Friday deadline, go to our bio for the link!
WHAT: The Mendocino National Forest is at it again and is attempting to hide a 1,300 acre clear cut as a “restoration” project. By its logic, there is a need to cut all the trees in a fragile post-fire forested area in order to plant others. The agency is also arguing that it is exempt from environmental laws that would require detailed consideration of the likely negative impacts of the project! EPIC’s staff has rarely seen this level of disregard for science, ecology, wildlife, water quality, or public participation. We need your help to shine a spotlight on this Orwellian abuse of our laws! Let’s let them know that we are watching and aware. Please add your name and comment today!
WHY: Most post-fire forests are entirely capable of natural regeneration. This particular project covers a zone of “mixed-severity” burn, meaning that there are patches of surviving green trees capable of providing a seed source for natural reforestation, and with resprouting hardwoods, the area will naturally reforest in time. The proposed logging with heavy machinery, by contrast, will eviscerate natural record through the churning and disturbance of the already fragile soil. Artificial reforestation projects like this one are expensive, result in less biological diversity; and spread invasive species.
We took a moment and snuck away. Yet we seek to build a life from which we don’t feel the need to “sneak away.” Does the way we word these “get aways” influence the way we feel about our “every day” life? In any case, I learned how beautiful Mendocino is, felt nostalgic about my childhood spent on the coast, and was reinvigorated by a nice long and peaceful hike among the redwoods. We’ve decided to recommit to spending more time outside, with nature and each other and our dogs. #mendocino#hwy1#hikingwithdogs#glassbeach#mendocinonationalforest#didgeridoodreamlandinn#californiahistory

Rooted Balayage for my beautiful client @ashleeekg 💖
Lots of Microslices, a root smudge, and a wet balayage to create this look 😍😍
Love me some @olaplex for always keeping my clients hair healthy 🥰
I think it’s pretty obvious from my photos that love taking pictures of the coast. Most of them are or the Northern California coast though so I figured it’s about time I explored Southern California and am currently driving down the coast! The big question is what’s better, mountains or coastline? Shouldn’t be hard to figure out my answer. #chasestories

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be mellowing out on our social media outlets while we are closed to prepare awesome new things for our reopening in May. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks into all the exciting things coming your way! In the meantime we are still available to answer any questions you may have.
Happy 🤎s day, y’all! Keep loving and always be kind to yourselves and others. 🌾
The photo was taken from a trip to our fave place in #Mendocino . We don’t get a lot of great pictures of the two of us together, and I’m thankful for that bench that served as a tripod to capture this memory.
Also, kind of in the mood to watch a romantic movie tonight, any recommendations? Comment me your faves below! (I dig the Indie ones)👇🏽
