TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY 🖤
Here is what gorgeous client Ivana has to say about us:
“I have been to multiple bar method and other barre studios across the country and this studio is truly the best. It is clean, spacious, beautiful and has the best teachers. The workouts are always challenging, despite the fact I’ve been going for several years, every class is different and always gives me a great, strong workout. There is also a nice community of friendly students who provide a welcoming atmosphere. I especially like the range of ages of students, from teens to ladies in their 70’s, we all come together to support and empower each other’s fitness and health goals.”
Thank you Ivana! We love having you as a part of our community 🖤
The first photo I’m showing you from the European work I’ve done this year! 🎉😍
And here go some news and changes 🙂 This year I’ve been working on my business really hard: a lot of shooting, tons of hours of different kind of lessons, masterclasses, workshops and other educational resources, plenty of time spent on thinking about what else I can do to make my couples happier 🥰 So it could only be postponed that much: rebranding is coming! All the good stuff from the past plus years of experience put into this brand update! 🤩
Stay tuned and seize the chance to book the updated services with 2019 prices! 🙃
I was truly blown away by how stunningly detailed Rachel’s reception outfit was... really, zoom in on some of the embroidery. These pieces were worn with her lehenga and made for the loveliest dress shot 🥰 Also, a reminder to all of my brides— I’m happy to bring along a vintage hanger for your day, to help check one thing off your wedding prep list! 🤗💕
𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐛- while both extremely popular in drugstores and across social media, these 2 scrubs are a big NO! They cause tears in your skin that you can’t see and expose your skin to harmful UVA & UVB (sun) rays that can cause PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) which leaves blemishes( discoloration, appears to be acne scars) on your face. Avoid!
𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐎𝐢𝐥- is less like a pure plant oil and acts as wax on the skin (jojoba oil as well) It’s comedogenic meaning that it can’t penetrate the pore and sits on top of the skin, leading to clogged pores & breakout. Because it doesn’t absorb it causes extreme dryness.
𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐞- HIGHLY ACIDIC with a PH of 2, this can actually cause permanent damage to your skin. It changes the natural PH of your acid mantle, causing irritation, hyperpigmentation (blemishes), and sensitivity to the sun. You can also receive a chemical burn from this citrus acid! •
𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐝𝐚- It’s really, really bad. Baking soda is extremely too harsh to be safe for skin! The pH of your skin is about 5.5, and baking soda is a far out 9. (Compared to ammonia solution, which is 11.) It’s far too alkaline, and even more so when combined with water which dramatically upsets the skin’s pH balance and causes serious irritation and worse. It’s a known household cleansing product, so why put it on your face?! •

BOMBAY BEACH (33.3472735, -115.7292191 ) with Lindsey Hope Rummings
Sony a7s + Sony 16-35mm, 1/250, f4, ISO500
I have been wanting to come here for a long time. The swing and the lake combination is so beautiful~~there is no ending line between the beach and the sky. It rained a lot that day. Naiyin suggested to have plan b. But the rain stopped when we got here. Although it sprinkled a little bit and God allowed us to finish the swing photo.
How sweet it is that love flows through our doors every weekend ✨. Memories. Lasting commitments. All within the walls of our historic building. Adding to the history, the stories, the legacy of this space. How sweet it is✨.
Finally a forecast of sunshine this week in San Diego ☀️After a month of visitors (Reef is now over a month old, where does the time go??) We are on our own! Going to enjoy this beautiful December weather with my littles while it lasts.
And that’s a wrap on NOLA!! I have one more sweet session from last night to post, but I felt like the Mardi Gras themed part 2 of Leanna and Kaed’s in home session was the perfect photo series to share my gratitude for this amazing experience.
Before photography I worked as part of the building management team for a senior living corporation. Their headquarters were based in Louisville, Kentucky and I was always dying to get sent on a business trip to Louisville. I didn’t even have any special desire to see that specific city, i just thought it would be SO cool to get to mix the pleasure of travel with the business of working. The fact that I now run my own business and I’m starting to have opportunities to take this show on the road is truly an incredible feeling. I have loved travel for as long as I can remember... I know it’s not for everyone but I truly feel like my mind & heart opens after visiting new cities and embracing all the different, colorful cultures of this world we live in. It makes me feel truly alive! Getting to do the thing I love most (photographing love) while experiencing new and exciting places is such a dream come true. I am so thankful for these four sessions I booked that made it possible for me to experience all of the kind people, delicious food, and beautiful sights that New Orleans has to offer.
Despite this being a total dream, traveling for work is also a lot harder than I ever thought it would be. Keeping up with emails and editing while wanting to go out and explore takes so much self control and time management (two things I’m constantly working on improving). Not to mention time spent planning the trip and location scouting in an unfamiliar place. It may seem glamorous and exciting because it is, but it’s also hard and takes a lot of prep! Still, my heart is full and happy as I head home to San Diego. Cannot WAIT to snuggle my pups and Brian when I get back!! ✌🏼 out, NOLA, you were a freaking blast!

Beautiful colors and bright smiles introduce the wedding party!
Throooowback!!! Just reminiscing about how far I’ve come, creatively, emotionally, and personally since I started this crazy journey into photography. It’s a crazy good feeling. ☺️ The weather has been getting gloomy and I’d love to do some more shoots in the snow and go do some adventuring, who’s in? 😏

I don’t have anything profound to add here, just that I loved making this bouquet for beautiful Dana and knowing it would be against Nick’s black tux...it was time to put in all the things. So I did. 🤷🏻♀️
I feel like a kid counting down the day’s until Christmas break! It will be so nice to just relax and do whatever I feel like for 16 days! Yes, I counted! That’s half a month of doing absolutely nothing! 😂 Can you tell I worked really hard this year and need a break?! Is it that obvious?
Just delivered Hanna & Daniels wedding gallery and I am over the freaking moon with how lovely these golden hour shots came out. Can the sunset be this perfect everyday of my life?! 🙌🏼 Congratulations again to these love birds! -
Let the countdown begin! Today marks exactly one year until Mark and I get married 💍

The other day Andrew told me about this commercial for a Peloton exercise bike that went viral. In it a husband gives his wife the bike for Christmas & she’s so excited she video diaries herself enjoying it. That’s the entirety of the 30 second ad.
It caused chaos online because “how DARE a misogynistic husband force his wife to be skinny by buying her a tool to exercise.” That’s the main takeaway from this ad - which you have to read DEEP into it to even come up with that. 🤣🙄
It’s obvious people are reading WAY into a simple ad. The ad clearly shows the woman stoked to receive this gift indicating that she actually wanted it for Christmas; the husband wasn’t manipulating her to exercise in some sort of devious plot to make her skinny. 🤣 What concerns me more is the fact that people perceive a husband telling his wife to exercise more as a horrible thing.
But can we just talk about THAT for a second? Is it really the worst if my husband tells me I need to be in better shape? Or tells me anything for that matter that could offend me but is meant to make me ultimately a healthier person? A husband should know his wife so intimately that he knows what will benefit her, and he should have the authority to tell her those things. And vice versa. A wife should have that same authority to tell her husband when she notices unhealthy behavior & call it out.
In a world where we get so butt hurt when the slightest thing offends us, marriage is MEANT to grow us. If the closest person to me can’t even tell me something that I NEED to hear without me being offended about it, then HOW are we supposed to grow? If I’m doing something unhealthy in my life, my husband should love me enough to call out that unhealthy behavior in me. THAT is true love. Not letting me stay where I am (which might be easier), but instead calling me up to something greater out of love.
When you create an open space in marriage for healthy communication that has the potential to offend, but choose instead to not be offended and speak critiques with love... THATS when we become better people.
Anyone feel me on this? Have you seen the Peloton bike ad? What’s your takeaway?

First New Orleans session is in the books! And how perfect that i got to kick off these sessions with the one who brought this whole crazy plan to fruition. This session started with @samantha_vickers jokingly commenting on one of my posts saying she wished I was in New Orleans to photograph her and her hubby for their 10 year anniversary. Well... that sounded like a damn good idea and we found a way to make it happen!
Samantha, I had so much fun with you and Bryan tonight. Thank you for giving me this incredible opportunity and trusting me with this milestone in your marriage. You two truly were the king and queen of NOLA on this beautiful evening. ♥️🌇
