Btw, thank you all for the comments and messages on most last post regarding Thinking Small. Following up on that, here is an example from me. Not long into my BJJ journey, I realised that getting strong and keeping the same weight class or going lower was probably a good idea. So I decided to aim for Be Really Strong, something that took about 6-8h a week besides the already many hours I used on Be Really Good at BJJ. After some time, it was too much to have two Big Goals related to my training, on top of life (full time day job and personal life). My “beginner gains” stage was over, it was harder to always Be Really Strong (always to get stronger). It was too much, so I got demotivated, and stopped Be Really Strong (Be Really Good at BJJ was also more important). But then I got weak, and injured, and saw I need strength training in my life. So I applied some small thinking, and decided that just 3h a week would have to do - and that if I didn’t have energy for that, 1h was always better than 0. Stepping that ambition down - both in hours, but also in expectation to myself - means that it is so much easier to make it to the gym no matter what. Because a little is always better than nothing, and because I no longer always have the pressure on myself to Be Really Strong. In the long run, that’s given me a lot more strong. 💪🏼

Just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean, and spent a good portion of it by the pool, glued to this spectacular book. I can't recommend this book enough to anyone who's a VW fan, a history buff, or anyone who is looking for a story about how something good can come from the most unlikely of places.
New post up now! Things usually are more detailed, and complicated than we’d like them to be. And that is ok. We don’t all have to be scholars, but we can have a look at how we make up our opinions and what they’re based on. It won’t kill us.
Who else is committing to this?
People will allow their jealousy and inadequate feelings about themselves reflect on you and in turn will try to lower you down in the process. On the back of a great live yesterday, I think it’s only fitting that I’ve decided this today.
It's very easy to think within the boundary conditions of our mind, limited by what we believe what we can achieve from what we have seen and done.
That's all we know.
The problem with only believing that we can do what we've already done is that we won't be able to do what we haven't yet done! That's not going to get us very far, is it?
That's small thinking.
In order for us to become a millionaire, we need to think like a millionaire. We need to think much bigger than where we are now if we have aspirations to be somewhere bigger and better. Don't be constrained by your own reality right now.
Yes, this is a mind shift for some; a change in thinking. It might be uncomfortable too, but to become a millionaire you've got think like a millionaire before you are a millionaire! You're not going to do that thinking small; like your on £22,000 a year.
You have to think like you own 10 properties and 20 properties and you have to believe that you are already there. Look at the opportunities to buy 5 instead of 1. Look at the opportunities to use other people's money instead of your own. Think big, believe that anything can be achieved.
