Paradise Bound 🌈
On my way home to Hawaii for my dad’s birthday and Lunar New Year celebrations.🧧I always sit by the window when flying in and out of the islands. How can you resist views like these? There’s a reason why Hawaii is known as the Rainbow State! #luckywelivehi#vsco#shotoniphone
Walking into the new year like… ⠀
This weekend, many of us celebrated the beginning of the lunar year but were also humbly reminded how precious life is. I hope you hugged your loved ones a little tighter and ate as many dumplings as you pleased. ⠀
In the words of Kobe, “Have a good time. Life is too short to get bogged down and be discouraged. You have to keep moving... Put one foot in front of the other, smile and just keep on rolling.” ⠀
Here’s to making the most of each moment. Happy lunar new year my friends ♥️ 新年快樂
Every September the locals head-off to to Skjöldur, 10 km south from Stykkishólmur to take part in Réttir - the annual sheep round up. ⠀
This is one of the oldest cultural traditions in Iceland, where farmers invite everybody to help out with rounding up the sheeps after a summer up in the mountains.
DIVING DAY ✨
Today we got on a huuuge boat for a diving trip and I was so exited! I looove diving and exploring everything underwater and it has been a while ✨
If you ever go to Koh Lipe or the sourounding Islands and want to go dive, you should go to STONEHENGE! 🐠
It is not season at this time (end of January) to meet the sharks, whalesharks, mantarays etc.(because they actually have that here!!!) 🙈
But instead you can go explore soft corals and a lot of beautiful fish in many sizes! The reef is protected and it is soo alive and amazing 😍🐠
Amongst many fish we met lionfish, purple stone fish, trigger fish, huge moray eel and also a lot of crazy colored seacucumbers 😅 and of course also the Stonehenge itself 🤩
That is so worth going and I would recommend you to book the tour in a small group 🤩🤙
The iconic life sized granite elephants at Elephant Gate the now disused @carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen.
And yeah that’s what you think is on the side of them. Until the 1930’s that was a symbol of good fortune…The symbol was used on the branding until the start of 1940.
Have you ever heard the story of the butterfly? Read below if you haven’t, it is worth the read peoples.
“A man spent hours watching a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon. It managed to make a small hole, but its body was too large to get through it. After a long struggle, it appeared to be exhausted and remained absolutely still.
The man decided to help the butterfly and, with a pair of scissors, he cut open the cocoon, thus releasing the butterfly. However, the butterfly’s body was very small and wrinkled and its wings were all crumpled.
The man continued to watch, hoping that, at any moment, the butterfly would open its wings and fly away. Nothing happened; in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its brief life dragging around its shrunken body and shrivelled wings, incapable of flight.
What the man – out of kindness and his eagerness to help – had failed to understand: The restricting cocoon and the struggle required by the butterfly to get through the opening was a way of forcing the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight once that was achieved. It is the Nature’s way of training the butterfly and of strengthening its wings.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us.
And sometimes, a little extra effort is precisely what prepares us for the next obstacle to be faced. Anyone who refuses to make that effort, or gets the wrong sort of help, is left unprepared to fight the next battle and never manages to fly off to their destiny.”

For those who are struggling right now, may you find comfort in the thought that the struggle you are in today is developing the strength you need tomorrow. 🙏🏻
