Despite these pretty pictures Kielder threw some wild weather at us in the days we stayed. After a wee cycle to the lake we were soaked through riding back. It allowed us to be confronted early on in our trip with managing wet stuff in the van!
The third photo shows a sunny morning stroll over a Victorian viaduct over looking Kielder water. 💦 ~
Aaaand we are home! After an unexpectedly seriously snowy start to the day, chaos at the car parks - Center Parcs handled it well to be fair, extending checkout times and telling everyone to chill, hand salting all the paths and roads - we had a last minute swim and a steady drive home. So much for getting up early and getting on the school run 😂😂
Feeling chilled and refreshed? Nah not really - a self catering holiday with two kids that involves swimming (ie wrestling a baby into a swim nappy just for it to cry in the pool and then wrestling it out of wet swim stuff into clean clothes while you sweat to death in 100 degree changing rooms) constantly Cooking and cleaning up after them.... well it’s not relaxing is it? But with a husband who works nights / away a lot and a bonkers year behind us, it was nice to get away for our first ever break as a family of four. Made me realise how much little eff-bomb has slotted right into our lives. Thanks Center parcs. Although I much prefer sherwood, we still had a wicked time, and bumping into the marvellous @justcoopsandlu was an added bonus (couldn’t have survived the cold without her amazing hoodie - just staying) #familytime#familyholiday#familyadventures#centerparcs#centerparcsuk#centerparcswinfell#lakedistrict#travelwithbaby#travelwithbabytips#traveltipsforparents#traveluk
Keeping our vans unique is an important part of what we do, but sometimes it’s pretty difficult.
These mountains were kind of a last minute addition; I wasn’t concrete on how I was going to do them until I started. That’s how art works I suppose, especially for me.
Now, having learnt that new skill and perfected that new technique, I’m not to use it again. I would hate for our vans to start looking like carbon copies of one and other, so I’ve got to keep the mountains to myself for now.
On the bright side, this means adding to our skill set with every build. We never feel like we know everything, are leaning everyday. It’s pretty scary at times, but that’s also what keeps it interesting!
The Isle of Wight , it is an island off the south coast of England.
It is just over 2 hours from London via ferry or hovercraft - the Isle of Wight is simple to get to and a wonderful holiday destination all year round.
On the banks of the River Thames in East Molesey, just down the river from Hampton Court, lies a real hidden gem - @eightontheriver at Molesey Boat Club.
It's my birthday today so my beautiful wife has brought me here for our first child-free day date since our youngest was born.
Housed within a working rowing club, the extorior is unmemorable - you could easily miss it - but head up the stairs and find yourself inside a cosy riverside hideaway festooned with rowing memorabilia from the club's long history. A first floor terrace provides unrivalled views across this particularly beautiful stretch of the Thames, which is lined with houseboats and an eclectic assortment of riverside chalets. It was drizzly today but in the sunshine this would be spectacular! They also have a kids play area right next to the terrace, so you can grab a coffee, enjoy the views and keep an eye on the kids at the same time.
This is it UK. I’ve finally had enough of you and I’m ready to say goodbye. This 38-day trip took me to three countries (Ireland, UK and Belgium), more than 17 towns and cities (London, Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Edinburgh, Hastings, Burton upon Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Derby, Brussels, Brugge, Canterbury, Dover...), gave me hugs from family, smiles from many friends, hospitality of the locals and filled my heart with joy. Five flights, four coaches, eight trains, countless underground stops, a few taxi rides and many friends with cars helped me crisscross these gorgeous islands. Now I’m off for a little break, and then who knows? I have my eye set on a few more places while I am kept out of China. #lifeoftamara#serbiangirlinuk#livelovetravel#traveluk#traveltheworld#solotravel#wintertrip#trip2020#traveladdict

Throwback to when we could sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Feel like all it's done is rain 🙄 Good old British weather ay.. We're off camping with the children at Easter so I'm hoping it starts to pick up 🤞

It’s been a long and busy week this week... I’m so ready for the weekend! Just reminiscing over less stressful times, I wish I could be back exploring Northern Ireland again ✈️.
The link to my blog ‘A twenty-something guide to Belfast’ is still in my bio, if you need help planning your next mini break 😘
Ready for this new week? 💪
Apparently, today is called the “blue Monday”, meaning the most depressing day of the year because of the cold weather, the short day light and the lack of money after the Christmas holidays.
No time to be depressed here coz there is a lot to do this week, starting today with the sales, tomorrow I am heading to a new destination in the UK for a project with @hblcmarketing 🙌 and I am receiving a special guest to end the week with 👯♀️. Any exiting plans coming for you this week? 🥳 .
🇫🇷 Prêt pour cette nouvelle semaine? 💪

I went to Bath 🛀 for 8 hours and it was beautiful. Also my hair looks great in this so I’m posting 💁♀️
But really though Bath is extremely easy to get to from London (less than an hour and a half!) with beautiful historical buildings, lovely markets, and its easily walkable. We went to the Victoria Art Gallery, two different markets, Jane Austin Centre 📚 and had lunch at a cute cafe on Milsom St!
