One of my favorite quotes from C. S. Lewis' The Horse and his Boy is when Shasta demands to know why Aslan wounded Aravis and Aslan replies calmly, "Child, I am telling you your story NOT hers. I tell no one anyone elses story but their own." I don't about y'all, but I get so caught up in comparing the story of my life with that of others. The more I compare, the more I get jealous, worried, or resentful that God isn't orchestrating my life like theirs, or according to my plan. As a result I often begin to doubt and forget my worth as an individual before God. You know, we all just need to stop it!! Stop comparing and start being thankful for our own precious story that God is writing. If something isn't going our way, it doesn't mean God is holding out on us, or doesn't love us. It means he is telling us OUR story, and NO ONE ELSES. You are an epic, beautiful, brilliant human that is like no one else on this Earth. You have an epic, beautiful and brilliant story that is like no one else's! So go on! Tell the world your story! .
Knowing is different from believing. If you know how to ride a bicycle, a billion people can opine on whether or not riding a bike can be done, but you already know you can. However if you simply believe you can, you will be swayed.
I KNOW God, universe, source, intelligent design exists. I experience It daily. I am from this world but definitely not of this world.
I am That I am. I am That. Limitless, Infinite, Spirit. I know who I am.
You don’t have to do anything someone else does.⠀
Just because Susie started the keto diet a couple weeks, doesn’t mean you should. Especially if you like your current life. 😬⠀
Just because Cathy is doing Barre or Pilates and it’s really working for her, doesn’t mean it will for you.⠀
John doing steroids now and looking jacked? He’s about to see some serious side effects real soon that you may not be interested in. 🙃⠀
If you like using protein powder, awesome.⠀
If you know things work for you, keep doing them. You don’t have to do something just because you see one thing or your favorite celebrity is doing it.⠀

#wednesdaythoughts 💫✨ last night I was writing in my journal and it prompted me to write down something I will make time for and without even hesitation, I wrote get back to a spiritual practice.
Spirituality is interesting to me. We grew up not-religious at all, so up until I discovered yoga and how much depth there was behind a yoga practice, spirituality didn’t phase me as something that I would need.
Then came my 200h yoga TT in Mallorca, Spain for 18 days where I was completely immersed in all things yoga and the spiritual side of. Starting every day with 15-20 minutes of a variety of meditations, eating all vegetarian, studying the philosophy and history behind it, and so much more. After that training, I kept my meditation practice but eventually as with many other things, it wasn’t top of mind or top priority.
Lately I’ve been feeling called back to it all. Meditation, more yoga, more reflection/journaling moments, workshops and additional learnings, reading, lighting inscents, solo nights in listening to music - all of it 💎💫✨👏🏼 do you have a spiritual practice?
Over the years I like to believe I have gotten a little bit wiser. So whenever my body demands of me to be still, I listen. Today it asked that of me.
I think one of favourite things that my singing bowls have taught me is traveling deep within and tapping into the power of utter stillness. I have become best friends with myself, I love me more and happier too! For this, I am profusely grateful.
I send you love dear Furaha (happy) Beings! Thank you for being here.
Does this sound familiar? "The year is two-thirds gone already." If this is your association with September, I wonder if you feel like you’ve been scrambling to keep up with everything on your plate, and worrying that you’re falling behind in some ways.

Today’s #TravelTip :
Allow yourself to deviate from the plan.
We know this can be hard to do sometimes, especially if you’ve spent long hours researching and putting together a detailed itinerary. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned in our travels, it’s that “Our happiest moments as tourists seem to come when we stumble upon one thing while in pursuit of something else”. - Lawrence Block
We always go into a trip with a plan of what we’d like to see and do, but we try to not get stuck to the plan, simply for the plan’s sake. Sometimes those last minute changes are the best memories of our trips. So while the plan may be your GPS, don’t be afraid to take a detour. #happytravels
PS - I think I’m missing my long hair today. Hah.
For as long as I can remember, I used to never warmed up for anything, and never warmed down or stretched either. Playing basketball in the middle of Sydney winters, a couple of layups and I was good to go - after the game, I would just sit down and chill.
I never really thought about it - after all, when you're young, you usually think you're invincible - but maybe it's something I'm feeling now that I'm past my peak physical potential. Regardless, I don't know how I never used to stretch because I can barely get through a day without stretching at least once. Same goes for warming up before each run.
Now that the iPhone 11 is coming out, let me introduce to you my new phone. I just got it as an upgrade. Not sure what model this is but this phone in particular has a series of revolutionary and transformative features for my life, such as its inability to access fast and accesible Internet connection at any time, and its beautiful lack of social media applications inviting me to be on them all the time, such as Instagram and Youtube. It has a limited number of minutes for calling people and I can even text my friends. Simple. Elegant. Versatile. Just what I was looking for. #wednesdaythoughts
