Earnest Money is a good faith deposit that shows the seller, “I’m all in! Z ” it’s typically 1% of the purchase price, goes towards your closing costs or down payment and is due with 48 hours of getting the house. You can rescue it during the transaction if you have some contingency periods
along the way.
🏡 Inspection: this is your chance to “look under the hood” of the house- typically costs around $400 and is due at the time of the inspection. This is different than an appraisal inspection. Depending on your home, you could opt for other inspections like, solar, roof or pool inspections if you want to further evaluate. It’s a Buyer Beware state so don’t skip this step if you don’t have to•
