Abbey Gatehouse from Abbey Street.
City of Carlisle, UK.
I haven't been out photographing for over a week now due to a bout of conjunctivitis in both eyes, and I've also been taking it easy on social media and online to rest my eyesight 👀
So here's a picture I captured earlier this year when my eyes were working perfectly fine. The striking building pictured here at the head of Abbey Street is the original gatehouse into the grounds of Carlisle Cathedral, and dates back to 1528.
I visited early in the morning to capture the street light illuminated, but I also liked how the internal light above the arch created a nice focal point, as well as the door to the left.
Its been super to spend a week off as a family. Its equally super to be open again from 10am this morning. Hope everyone is sweet to the beat and we shall catch you on Abbey Street or when we deliver something delicious to your door :-) Haus x
Below is a picture of the most important member of the team here at Haus, taken 1 year ago today. Jocelyn says we've all been working very hard for the past year and we need a break, so break we shall! 🙏
Haus is now closed and will reopen its doors on Tuesday 27th of August @ 10am. Deliveries will resume a couple of days before then however so keep your eyes on Just Eat 😉
Thank you to everyone who has helped us arrange this brief holiday for our little girl it means the world to us 💙
It was 50 years ago today that John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr held up traffic on the zebra crossing outside their North London recording studio to get the cover shot for Abbey Road #abbeystreet #abbeyroad
