Yes, Calvin’s face looked like this ALL day long. Also yes, it was incredibly contagious.

It’s such a wonderful thing to love ❤️ -
Admittedly this winter season has been getting to me. I miss the sun. I miss feeling a cool breeze on a hot day. I miss cute picnics in the park with close friends. It’s like every year my appreciation for those things gets reset through the winter cold. So although I don’t enjoy winter, I do value it’s ability to make the warmth of spring an exiting and desirable event year after year. The contrast the cold adds a little magic to the warmth of spring 🌹

Loved being out in the desert for this shoot. The open air with each hill rising and falling like the earths breath. We stayed out there all day and well into the night. I came home in love with glamis and inspired once again by amazing clients who are up for anything!
These two reached out to me a week before their elopement and I couldn’t feel more blessed to get to know them and document these moments together. I love that their intention was “just love”, and I really love the moment these two joined as one, the clouds opened up and sun rays beamed down perfectly behind them. I’d say that’s one heck of a start to a beautiful life together. ✨
Sometimes when you’re overwhelmed you have to step back from everything going on in your life and really appreciate all of the good things you have. It’s easy to dwell on something that didn’t go the way you wanted it to , but then you realize that one closed door opens so many better doors. Life is good!
Here’s @mikesongloke getting ready to marry the woman of his dreams!
So happy to have photographed these two!

Oh how I’m dreaming of warmer, longer days filled with beautiful sunsets!
Over the past year I have found the beauty of the @alltrails app. If you haven’t heard of it it’s the one stop shop to find all the gorgeous hikes all over the world. I already have a long list saved for the summer and I am so darn excited. Every year I feel like I take summer for granted because it gets so busy. But not this time! What other apps do you use on your outdoor adventures? ☺️
We just posted this sun drenched Banff winter elopement on our blog 🌻
These two met working at a rafting company, their first date was at a climbing gym and they wanted none of the hoopla involved with planning a big wedding.
We got into this business because we love taking photos, going on adventures and sharing these amazing landscapes with people. We never could have imagined how many incredible people we would get to hang out with along the way! These guys were sweet. This day was beautiful. You can read more about in on our website 😊

1. This NY wedding was such a sweet way to round out the end of the 2019 wedding season. The most genuine group of talented folks. I was so honored to be there.
2. A massive rebrand is coming down the pipes and I am excited and terrified. My business is evolving with my life and I’ve realized that I don’t need to BE my brand. I don’t want to be. I’m the brains and the heart behind it and throughout it - but truly my vision and purpose is my brand and that’s stronger than my personal self. I’ve let that evolution take me for a long ride down the path of strategic reflection and what I’ve come up with in my hidey hole of creativity is, I think, complete alchemy (or PFM: pure f*% #ing magic). I am so excited to undo and redo everything and crossing my fingers I can translate this vision into everything I’ve hoped for. I’ve learned a ton in the past few years and it’s all turning into something useful now! I think I’ve finally found the right help (you know who you are!!) and I am so thankful that I reached out of my crab shell to mastermind this whole vision of mine. That’s the creative evolution. And for me it’s not updating the world on how much I love coffee, yoga or tacos or dogs and how cool my latest “adventures” with a baby are (though sometimes it is) - rather It’s quietly in the background updating my work, my approach, my brain, my actions and spirit and letting it all come through my entire business and creative process so that it can really become something valuable. So here’s a toast to putting on the blinders to all the distractions and opinions and judgement and blah blah blahs and just crushing our goals and hitting our dreams in the bullseye. Pray for me 😂

HEYYYY! It’s me and it’s been awhile because home girl had a sinus infection and really didn’t want to put her face in front of the camera but we’re better now we just sound a little raspy 🙃 I’ve spent the week editing my little head off and talking to new brides WOOP WOOP! Such a fun year ahead and can’t believe I get to do this as a JOB.
New blog post! These two have modeled as bride + groom a lot of times for photographers in the past, so Schadell didn’t think anything suspicious when we set up a sunrise shoot in the most gorgeous @ruedeseinebridal gown! But Jamaal had a little trick up his sleeve...and needless to say, she was so surprised! We had the most amazing morning with these two + it was an honor to capture such a special moment in their lives. Head to the link in my bio or story to see more from their proposal + session in Moab 🖤💍

Married in their twilight years! This wedding lit up my soul. She found her dress 25 years ago, never thinking it’d become a wedding dress, but it did. Heartfelt and inspiring, witnessing their love. I wish social media promoted more love stories like this. It’s not always about fancy dresses and decor. Thanks @barefootfloral for convincing them to hire a photographer. 💛

Now that we’ve been home in Moab for almost a month, I looked back at some of our photos from Hawaii and almost lost my mind at how green and lush it is 😅 We decided to go to Hawaii again next January on our way to New Zealand...are you even surprised? This time we’ll be visiting Oahu (to hang with these buddies again!!) and the Big Island to see the lava! We’re stoked. And hopefully this will make the looooooooong distance to New Zealand seem a little more manageable 🙈
Any recommendations for the big island? Anyone wanna do a volcano elopement 👀🌋

Oh you know, just another epic #HearnesTinyCouples climbing a mountain on their wedding day! It’s photos like these that make having two photographers so great. I was down there with them, taking photos up closer, offering a hand when needed, and showing them where we were headed. Callen ran up above us and climbed three big boulders to get this photo that really shows the scale of the place. In fact...I’d guess at least 90% of our rad tiny couples photos are Callen’s, but don’t tell him I admitted that 😉

Yesterday, we rallied the Jeep on a pretty wild dirt road we’d be eyeing for a little bit and after pulling up to the top of a beautiful hill, we got all dressed up and took some photos as the sunset painted our home mountains pink. It wasn’t to celebrate any special in particular. In fact, I only came up with the idea when this borrowed dress was delivered to my doorstep on Thursday and I tried it on. And at home, alone, I spun around the mirror and decided I wanted to do a little photo shoot in this dress before I had to send it back ☺️ Callen agreed (hero) and we tried not to be too fussy or complicated...we picked the spot on a map, spent four hours driving and exploring sandy washes and scrambling on boulders, and spent less than an hour at the very end of the day all dressed up running back and forth between our tripod and the mountains.
We forgot to pack snacks, and it was way colder than we expected (couples...I have a new understanding of what you go through 😜), and Charlie decided he was over it about 15 minutes in, but I’m so grateful for these photos. And so grateful for my little fam in my big desert. And of course, for @ruedeseinebridal dropping off the most beautiful pieces of art on my doorstep! I’ve never worn anything like this dress and I won’t soon forget the feeling 🥰

We’ve been going to Yosemite regularly for about 5 years now. And by the end of every season we’re pretty much ready to hit the road and get out of the valley scene (especially now that we work during most of our time there). After weeks of keeping Charlie on leash (and keeping ourselves in invisible leashes 😂), we all look forward to that moment we get over the pass and stop in some BLM or National Forest land to slip our collars and let loose.
But then...without fail, there comes a time when I start missing Yosemite like hell and dreaming of our next trip back! And while I’m certainly no where near ready to leave Moab yet, I’ve been dreaming of lazy days in the meadows and sunset after sunset at the top of my favorite cliff this summer season. I know we’ve made Moab our physical home, and I truly wouldn’t choose anywhere else in the world for it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll never stop day dreaming of Yosemite when I’m away. I’ve been saying this for years...but being torn between two places in this way is such a gift. Today I’m soaking up the sun in the Moab desert and dreaming of the breeze in Yosemite Valley. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

He proposed at sunrise high above the desert (see my last post!) and to celebrate we went to the moon for some sunset engagement photos 🌚 Honestly absolutely beside myself...yesterday was so fun, creatively inspiring, and truly the perfect way to kick off our 2020 desert season. I love this wild place, and now I have two new buddies to enjoy it with! Come back soon @lalita_8221@jam_brant 🥰
