China has built a 55km bridge to Hong Kong. It is nearly 5 times the length of Nigeria's 3rd mainland bridge which measures about 11.8 km in length. The steel used in constructing this bridge is sufficient to make 60 Eiffel Towers
Turns out you guys love @kiphideaways as much as I do!! A feature in @stylistmagazine yesterday actually broke the Kip website (temporarily) because so many of you wanted to be part of the gang!
KIP HIDEAWAYS - under-the-radar, affordable boltholes in the UK - definitely a “why didn’t I think of that” business! But hey ho, it may not have been my idea but I do get to work with them...

Truth is... I’ve been up since 6AM... 5:58AM to be exact. Anxious AF. Like a little kid excited for their field trip tomorrow. Eager to get out and see all what Panama had to offer me with my time here. As i had dinner last night at this super adorable Afro Caribbean spot located in the midst of downtown Panama - i almost cried. But people were in there so i held it in like the G that i am. 😎
Why cry? Because i was overfilled with joy because i found something that I’m actually passionate about. Something that makes my heart skip a beat, my palms sweaty & gives slight panic attack vibes. 😅 This was a shock to me because growing up, I’ve always done all the sports and extra curricular activities. I couldn’t/didn’t just stick to one i wanted to try them ALL. I’m not a fan of restrictions & routines. 🤷🏾♀️
Not only is traveling my passion but i also love advocating & teaching that traveling abroad isn’t as expensive as most think. It took me 3 weeks (7 work days from my side hustle) to buy this. This beautiful 4 night trip w/ accommodations at a 4 star hotel (thanks #Hyatt 😍) & flight only costed me $501. 😳 But we’ll get to that later after I’m done taking in this moment. 😏
I wasn’t hungry yet so I did what anyone else would do while they’re on vacation - hit the pool at 7AM & watch the sunrise. Okay maybe that’s just me? Lol either way, I’m here and my heart is full. Buenos días #Panama 🇵🇦
When you can’t sleep while on vacation what’s something you do to pass time until the festivities can begin? Let’s talk in the comments...
We have had the best couple of weeks in Bali. We were joined for two weeks by my sister and Liam and it felt like a proper holiday within the holiday. We were both feeling a little sad when they left so keeping ourselves busy and moved to Sanur just down the coast which on first impressions is lovely and a little sleepy. We now have two weeks left to explore Bali so we’re going to travel around the island - we have heard that the North of Bali is also beautiful & a little quieter so we’re hoping to make our way there. As a side note - we are currently staying in a little guest house and we had the pleasure of meeting @itscreativeginge by the pool this morning who recently set off on a twelve month adventure - with not much of a plan just seeing where the journey takes them. It’s really nice to meet likeminded people along the way (especially from back home) and definitely one of the perks of staying at guest houses / hostels!!
For the first time in almost two years of housesitting, we managed to line up two sits that not only end and start on the same day, but they’re also just twenty minutes walk from each other! 😱 The shortest distance we’ve ever had to travel for a sit! 👣 We’re already having a great time with complete sweetheart Devo, a two year old Lurcher who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa (unless you have pizza, then his favourite thing is pizza 😂)
Here is one of my favorite images from one of my favorite homes in the world. The karst mountains in Yangshuo, China are like something out of a traditional Chinese scroll. Literally.... They are the subject of so much Chinese art.
I have been to Yangshuo Mountain Retreat twice (once with the kids and once before adopting June) and it is one of those places we will continue to visit. Hope we can make it again before our 10 year visas run out! Haha.
Guilin airport is the closest to this gorgeous location. Then it's a 90 min ride to Yangshuo. I totally recommend this place as a way to escape the city when you are in the Guangzhou area. It would be a perfect long weekend trip.
I can’t say Cenote Zací was my favorite cenote we visited but it may have been one of the most impressive structures. It was vast with multiple levels to climb and different view points (or jumping points if you are more brave than me!!) I did jump from a (much) lower point though! Go me! But even that is an achievement because heights and I are not normally friends. .
All things considered, if you are going to Chichén Itzá this is a fantastic place to stop and cool off! The water was super clear and refreshing 💦
