Social media allows consumers a lot more information on the brands that they do business with and it’s important for brands to be as transparent as possible. The internet and social media are extremely powerful tools that constantly update information so brand “honesty” is the essential to the overall success of any brand now days.

Of 525 clients interviewed only 16% said their agency exceeds expectations. Meeting client expectations is about more than simply answering the brief. We'll talk more about this (and how to change it) on tomorrow's Webinar. Register here: https://bit.ly/2Rj94lZ
Thanksgiving may be over but here at NicJohn Media we’re grateful for:
1) Our wonderful clients, business partners, collaborators, supporters + friends and look forward to meeting and serving many more in 2020. 💯🗒
2) The ability to do what we love, live life on purpose, and enjoy the successes and learnings as a small business. 📈✨
3) Feeling an abundance of #gratitude by shifting our mindsets and creating new experiences, opportunities and connections (and writing them down inside this wonderful 5-minute journal). 💜
When your client asks if you can do it cheaper...
There will always be someone willing to do it cheaper. I’ve learnt the hard way in business that when faced with clients who aren’t willing to pay you what you’re worth, it’s better to let them go. I know I’ve also been guilty of having such a super task focused mindset and I too have failed to value the person behind the delivery of some of my jobs.
Lessons I learnt along the way:
1) You get what you pay for. There will always be someone offering a similar service at a more expensive rate, as well as someone else for cheaper
2) Keep things clean, honest and fair. Stay away from dodgy dealings and dodgy people instead maintain a positive money frequency of abundance and attraction, as opposed to lack and scarcity thinking.
3) Delivery aside, respect people’s value, time and energy
4) When someone does none of the above let them go ASAP. It will be a bigger headache down the line. Also think of the opportunity cost as it prevents you from serving delightful clients who will value you and are a better fit
5) Money is an energy and it flows. We give, we take, we spend, we receive. Stay away from people whose energetic money channels aren’t open
6) Tip for good service and focus on fostering long term partnerships as opposed to short term, high turnover service providers
7) Pay your bills on time. And, as a business owner, send invoices on time
8) Realise the value that those people add to your life and business through time saved, opportunities to grow, and things beyond just the service they provide
9) Have an attitude of gratitude, honesty & transparency and stay in integrity
10) Be clear on your ideal client avatar, price point and value that you provide in the market and remember it’s not your job to be suitable for everyone, focus on your sweet spot clients and price point
Have you had clients ask you to do cheaper work? What’s your experience been and what did you learn from it?

Are you thinking of giving up the 9 – 5?
Let’s get super real for a sec. I’ve always been mindful that in living in Bali I didn’t want to fall into the whole “Argh! Look at me! I’m living the laptop lifestyle. I chase waterfalls and work in my bikini while money falls out of palm trees and all I do is sit around and sip margaritas on bean bags all day. Life is SO great and it’s SO easy. #livingmybestlife ” 😵
So let me be clear - Bali IS amazing. Island life IS amazing and I do sometimes work in a bikini. Coconuts fall out of palm trees (not money), and we do sip margaritas on beanbags (but not on the job). So my life here IS great though...
RUNNING A BUSINESS AND LIVING REMOTELY AS AN EXPAT IS NOT EASY.
In fact, sometimes it’s F*CKING HARD.
For anyone who’s thinking of living this life I wanted to be straighty 180, no BS for real for you. I’ve put together a few more posts on my honest top 10 PRO’s, 10 CONS and 10 Survival tips (watch this space).
So tell me, where are you at? Are you thinking of giving up the 9 – 5?

Well I definitely fu*ked last slide with my broken english but hey its all good
What are your goals for 2020? Are you going to build something amazing or are you going to wait for something to happen
You are really crazy if you dont start something or at least try something on your own, life is too short to play it safe and even safe is not safe anymore
Does Information overload and shiny object syndrome cause paralysis by analysis? It's all too common, don't let that be you.
I know it can be daunting but imperfect action, beats taking no action at all💨
Here are three things you need to grow your agency:
1.Prospecting: Leads consistently coming in at the top of the pipeline
2. Sales: Converting those leads into paying clients on monthly retainers
3. Fulfillment: Delivering the service your clients have invested in
Are you stuck in any of these? 😳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #workfromanywhere 🌎 #business help #getmoreleads#linkedintips#agencyowner
Where do you spend most of your money?
Money is a great indicator of where your interests and passions lie!
My answer to this question was long! I love spending money on anything related to my villa and my plants. I live near Seminyak in Bali but I love Ubud, because there’s something really beautiful and tranquil about it. With all those gardens it feels really “zen” and I love it.
When I realised this, I made it my mission to turn my villa into what I thought it would look like if I was actually in Ubud. This makes my villa feel like a lovely, safe space that nurtures my creativity and it’s become my safe haven and creative hub. This is where you’ll find me most of the time and I’m happy to spend money on this. Seriously, you’ll find me going Gangster at the plant nursery. What do you think?
Why is this important? Because it's all part of figuring out what you are here to do... how can you serve? Here's a list of 6 questions to ask your self: https://www.reonlinemarketing.com/blogs/what-are-you-here-to-do-2

The hustle, the work flow, the only one person in control of your success & outcomes is YOU.
In life, there are so many things that 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑫 hold you back...
The stories you tell yourself,
But all that is BS and in our own control.
If we want something in this life, it’s in our full capability of making it happen for ourselves. 💯
You write the book for your life. 🖊
Be about that life that gets you closer to your goals.
𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒇 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔.
You can’t expect new results with the same actions.
That may mean sacrifice but ask yourself what you want more, stay grateful as hell and work for what you want.
Remember that you are it & it’s all in the cards for you if you chose to put in the work for it. ❤️
You only have one life - go get after it. 💯
Which kind of life are you choosing?🤟🏽
Khalid of @froliclove is someone I have a great level of respect for—not just because he had the wherewithal to come to me for marketing support/coaching, but because he doesn’t let anyone tell him how to think.
Today it’s rare to encounter people who are proud to march to the beat of their own drum and think independently. As someone who doesn’t follow the flock herself, Khalid and I are “two peas in a pod.” He’s a technologist and lyrical writer, who embraces metaphors and allegory the same way he does technology. So much in life is interconnected.
