Good morning and happy Tuesday! Today we have Tarantula.Your tarantula spirit animal encourages you to use your intuition and sensitivity to elevate your life and serve your true purpose. It often appears when you are going through a tough time, and the tarantula symbolism reminds you to nourish your body, mind, and spirit. We all know the energy has been very crisp and strong, so if you are going through transition and/or shifting vibrations or find yourself cutting chords, it’s time to take a breather. It’s time to reset your energy and take time for you to just be... as you ascend, trust your intuition and work on staying grounded.
Time to shed that old skin and embrace yourself to the fullest.

Hawthorn berries (crataegus) - the heart medicine. Let me introduce you to my hawthorn berry ketchup with common hogweed seeds - the most delicious heart friendly ketchup.
The hawthorn tree, also known as the fairy tree for it keeps its berries through the seasons, twinkly little red lights in the long nights of winter.
The hawthorn berries have the ability to reduce the blood pressure therefore helping regulate the heartbeat. I think we tempt to forget that our heart is a muscle that can be supported in many ways. Having a weak heart doesn’t make you a weak person - it hasn’t done it to me. I have tachycardia which is hereditary and means that your heart can race over 100 beats and more per minute for no fucking reason at all. Sometimes just bending over and there you go. It’s really painful and scary and you never get used to it but you learn to work with it. You can get better by being gentle with yourself - targeting your needs and respond to them. Just like you work the muscles of your legs, work your heart muscle. But also be good with what you put in your body cause it’s all going straight to the heart. Hawthorn berries have helped me a lot. I drink hawthorn berries tea all the time and I take extract of it.
A glimpse into the magic of our new collection.
Melts inspired by woodland folklore and Grimm fairytales. Designed to be lit by the fire, with a warm drink as you read your personal inspiring fairytale included.
Launching end of September 🍂🍄

There are always two risks. There's the risk of trying something new, and there's the risk of not trying it.
- Rob Bell
In this case, the risk of not trying something new (preserving and restoring Slim's) seemed greater than the risk of trying something new in this iconic space. So, we threw ourselves into Slim's, with plan to reimagine it as a fun, smart and unique place to shop; a complement to @frenchtownstation just next door.
This Friday, September 20, from 4p-6p, we will have a Grand Opening/Fall Celebration at Slim's Frenchtown Mercantile. We've appreciated your support and generous words concerning this endeavor, and hope you will make plans to join us for a ribbon cutting at 4p, and then stay for live music and refreshments at Slim's Frenchtown Mercantile. 📷@jt_crawford
I got to spend the yesterday-day editing some videography with the very talented @jeremywestrate ✨
I am super excited to be releasing it on my upcoming online portal launch date on October 10th along with some other videos we’re developing for you
Sometimes, the universe to asks us to get out of our comfort zone and do some videography for the business baby you’re creating. ✨
Sometimes, you abashedly say yes.
Without knowing the outcome. ✨
It’s a trust muscle. ✨
Something I have to actively engage to move forward without knowing the outcome .
But moving into a deeper knowing of knowing (it all along). Because I truly know my selves,
I was just programmed out of my truths.
And I always circle back around.

helpful in relieving fevers, shortening the duration of cold and flu, helping improve relaxation during illness, and relieving cramps associated with hormones or illness. Applied topically, it is helpful with skin itching, rash or other issues. Also helpful in stopping bleeding and avoiding infection, poultices of yarrow and plantain can be helpful on wounds. A wonderful herb to have on hard🌿

💜💚Taming of the #Wisteria 💚💜 Merry Morn one and all, the sun is shining and I have been blessed with a beautiful Wisteria growing into my garden. But it has spent all its energy growing and fighting for light, rather than using it's energy to flower. I have been brutal but I am hoping to help it. The massive green pile behind me needs clearing too, music on and I best get to it! What are your plans this morn?
I am around for a couple of hours this morn, if you have any gardening questions or would like to more about the Merchant of Avalon please feel free to talk to me 💚
ANCIENT LORE, I quote from the Revelations “And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations,” (22:2) for this is our heritage as we move into growing awareness of the powers of the plant kingdom.
I often wonder how many people have been sick or even died after experiencing a new herb, fungi or berry for the first time, through trial & error ... This ancient knowledge passed down through the plants themselves & the experience within the curious healers. The work of a herbalist is never complete but continues to grow just like the very herbs that are studied do. Continually growing & expanding as new material is added, reflecting the personal growth & experience of a master herbalist.
There is anthropological evidence that herbs were used for deliberate purposes as long as 50,000 years ago. I’m NOT an #alternativepractitioner my craft is of #traditionalhealing through ancient knowledge, passing this lore down over & over the millennia’s.

Whipping butters is our definition of having fun. So we've been busy behind the scenes, adjusting the formulation of this ol' timer from our product range.
Rich, creamy and moisturizing.
Now enhanced with organic coconut oil, vitamin e oil and lemon essential oil, Nubian Seed shea body souffle is a tub of moisturizing goodness. 👌💚
Fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmtic ingredient for softening skin. Coconut oil hydrates skin, improves its elasticity and collagen production. Vitamin e helps increase your skin's nutrient levels and reduces the appearance of scarring, uneven tone and stretch marks. While lemon essential oil restores the luster of dull skin, rejuvenating tired-looking skin.🌱 .
Jamu!!! Have you heard of JAMU??
I was introduced to Jamu about 12 mths ago, it’s a god send! I had a migraine and it was literally doing my head in! So I made some JAMU and within 20 mins it had gone! Nothing has every worked that good for me and the dreaded migraine! It has also worked for all sorts of pain, inflammation of the shoulders, sore backs, period pain and lots more. Jamu is a traditional Indonesian medicine, predominantly made from natural ingredients including roots, bark, flowers, seeds, leaves and fruits. It dates back thousands of years and has some similarities to Ayurveda. In Indonesia jamu is used to address a wide range of ailments, depending on the ingredients used. People have asked me for the recipe then the look on their face after I tell them is like, “yeah great! But I’m not going to do that!” So I have taken the hard work out and made a dry blend up so all u have to do is add it to a saucepan simmer for 30mins then drink and store in the fridge! This blend will make up 1 litre of Jamu! www.herbalvalley.com.au @mandij2903#jamu#herbs#turmeric#organic#inflammation#pain#periodpain#painrelief#herbalvalley#apothecary#smallbusiness#onewomen
Nasturtiums truly have a will to live. Give them bad soil, neglect and hardly any water and they thank you with complete abundance and medicinal goodness.
Regardless, the earth is so terribly dry and the tanks are low. Please rain soon 🙏🏼

Is anyone else doing a trust fall into the earth currently? This Full Moon in Pisces is bringing all kinds of things to the surface that are ready to be released. I’m taking this time, space and buzzy “day after the full moon energy” to announce that I am officially moving to Vermont. The past few months have felt really heavy and we have been dealing with an incredibly toxic living situation that gets worse and worse by the day (we have been blocked/ chained into the driveway by my landlord and video cameras have gone up so I need to access my home via a gated checkpoint now to give you a small glimpse of what kind of stress and insanity I’m dealing with). The eviction and legal battle and loss of peace and stability at home has forced myself and my partner to make some quick changes that were not anticipated but much needed. It has all been rushed and felt a bit out of our hands. That being said, moving to Vermont became an unexpected option and that choice felt the most empowering and gentle of all the others we had considered. And things that felt stuck for a long time now have started to move slowly forward again as a result. There have been a lot of emotions attached to this decision. I will have to leave my gardens, pack up the apothecary and put things on hold for a bit and will be starting from scratch in a new community And live for the first time in a new state. But I’m so ready to explore and create a home in Vermont with @adamanghilante And so ready to create new relationships with both plants and people and explore new forests, plan and plant new gardens. And though I know I won’t be offering as unique a service in herbalism up North, my hope is that I can plug into a supportive community up there and learn from and share with other herbies that I couldn’t as much here in central MA. I hope that maybe something I have to offer fits nicely into a little open and waiting space up there. I have had to let go of many pictures about Bohème Botanikas future and I’m doing my best to trust the process. I’m working out logistics but it’s my hope to still offer some courses and workshops and continue doing a few markets here in MA (continued in comments)

Do you prefer Spell Casting at night or in the day 🌙☀️
I usually prefer casting at night when it's quiet and i'm alone just so I can concentrate fully, I'm a proper night owl. 🦉 I set up an altar in the day sometimes and that does help me focus on how I want to feel and to stay connected. I miss summer rituals though in my garden with @priyas_apothecary and @spiritboxes 🧙♀️🧙♀️🧙♀️ * This altar cloth was from our Divination kit in July/August. I have a Tarot Moon one that will be in a one-off kit soon posted on my stories 👍 I also have some Samhain spooky cushions 🎃 Have a good week ahead everyone xx Sarah x
