Have you been to the Art Gallery of Alberta? It’s one of our favourite locations and a perfect setting for the upcoming event ‘Nothing, Something, Everything Panel + Launch of Canadian Modern Architecture’.
If you are interested in how the new generation of architects is shaping Edmonton, you will love this event.
Mingle with the Edmonton architecture and design community that cares about our vibrant city and maybe get inspired to get involved.
The event is free, but you do have to RSVP. The link with all the details is in our bio 🔗
We hope to see you there! If you have any questions, do let us know in the comments.
Sponsored by The Alberta Association of Architects.
Enjoyed seeing some of our own city on the #longweekend with visits to the In Golden Light icon exhibit at the #artgalleryofalberta (plus a short and mostly disappointing foray into the modern art wing) and the Human History wing of the #royalalbertamuseum

Congratulations to Ruth Cuthand and fellow artists recognized with the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts. Looking forward to the AGA exhibition this summer!
My inner rebel delights at putting my admission sticker on this post each Saturday. Walkin' on the wild side. Actually, it's a crosswalk, but sometimes I don't wait for the light. Mostly because it's under construction and closed to cars for now. 😂
After a trip to @youraga to drop off my piece for AOTB, I’m pondering the function of making art...is it to inspire devotion, instruct, celebrate creativity, make a political statement, engage and maybe provoke/puzzle the viewer, or just to make something really amazing? #icon#artgalleryofalberta#womenartists#art#indigenousart
The view from above. A staircase to Samadhi. ❄️
I find this image so captivating. It sends my mind into a state of deep contemplation and it delights my eyes.
It reminds me of a mandala.
What a wonderful surprise to look down and discover this gem from the top floor of the Art Gallery of Alberta. 😍
Nik and I are trying to be better about minimizing our impact on this planet we call home. From utilizing soap refill stores and using our own grocery bags, to purchasing items with less packaging and attempting composting. I’m curious what your favourite earth friendly activities and products are? I’m also in need of a new travel mug, preferably ceramic. Which ones do you guys recommend? ❤️🌏❤️

#missyelliott for this years #thewall contribution for #5artists1love 💙
The theme for 2020 is #aftrofuturism
and I had to paint the innovative and futuristic party starter who broke the glass ceiling for nerdy and creative black girls everywhere. #5artists1love is a music and art show highlighting talents of 5 local black artists each year during February - #blackhistorymonth . For 6 or 7 years I’ve contributed to the inclusive and diverse collective that gets to submit a painting 12x12x1.5”, and have their artwork displayed in the best art real estate in the province #artgalleryofalberta#aga
Grateful and honoured to be involved in any capacity 💙 much thanks to @jordan_darren for curating such a fantastic show each year 👌

There is something I absolutely LOVE about this photo. I think it’s the way @w.a.n.d.e.r_bliss has the most RADIANT, care-free vibe, and how @c.pyra is SUPPORTING and admiring her. It’s moments like this that can’t be forced, and truly show the love two people have for each other. And it’s why I absolutely love doing what I do, and being a part of documenting these moments and these stories.
