I have a poorly Hooman today, so I've put away my laptop and we're currently snuggled on the sofa, binge watching Doctor Who (we're working our way through the Matt Smith episodes atm.) I love sharing these geeky moments together, and it helps that it's snowing too- a good excuse to stay home!
If you put away your laptops, Notebooks and all work related items for the day; how would you spend it, and who with?

When we're working towards something (whether it's in our life, or biz, or career, or dreams we don't even fully understand yet), it's good to know our 'why'.⠀
Our ‘why’ makes up part of our greater purpose, the reason we’re feeling called to do what we do. Our ‘why’ might be related to something we’ve experienced and want to help others navigate, a deeper reason that drives a passion, a calling, or something that whispers to us and won’t let us forget it. It’s important to have an inkling—or a deep knowing—of what this is.⠀
It’s also important to think of your 'why not’. Your 'why not' is the part of you that can't not create, that can't not do this work, that can't not work towards what you’re creating. Put more simply, it's the part of you that has to; the part that can’t put that new spark of an idea to rest until you’ve lit the match and started to bring it into form.⠀
Your 'why' isn't always the first reason for creating something in your life and business. You create it because you have to, because it calls for you and tugs at you, drawing you closer.⠀
Your ‘why not’ might shift and change, but at its core it remains the same. The answer to your 'why not' is often as simple as: ‘Because I have to ... because I can't not.’⠀
Even if you don't know the outcome; even if you don't know all the details (yet); even if you can't see the bigger picture (yet); even if the resistance feels like it’s creating mountains out of molehills, and you feel far away from your dreams; even if creating it calls for you to change your mind, to stand up for something you believe in (that no-one else can see), to course-correct, and to back yourself more fully.⠀
What is your ‘why not’? What do you have to do, and create, and make, and share? What’s calling your name? Will you answer the call? 🙌🏻⠀

This is going to be a rant so if you don't read at your own risk.
I received this book as a review copy and I was looking forward to reading it BUT after reading the first few chapters, I couldn't force myself to read any more.
-The writing was really bad
E.g. I am working for Bobby Mehra. I am his personal secretary.
-There were no punctuations which was really annoying. Yes people do make mistakes while using punctuations, (I'm one of those people), but when you completely forget to use quotation marks while writing a book it shows a level of carelessness that I do not appreciate.
- I was really looking forward to reading this book because I'm someone who loves reading about topics that many shy away from writing about but this was a let down.
- I've read reviews of people praising this book? How? I've read work from self published authors who have put more effort into making sure their work was perfect.
If you think punctuation is not a big deal and can be overlooked I'm sorry to burst your bubble but IT'S NOT.
It ruins the reading experience and just feels like a waste of time.

I’m working upstairs at my son’s desk today because I can’t be trusted downstairs with distractions like Netflix and the coffee machine and also the crunching/breathing of my boyfriend who is also working at home today. Luigi and Yoshi will watch over me. They can be my reminder to Stop Fucking About. (And to leave my phone well in the other bedroom.)

It's here and it's beautiful!!
Rory García is terrible at making choices.
Dating Micah has been the best decision Rory’s ever made. Micah calms his wild side by bringing Rory back down to earth. They’re perfect for each other.
But when Rory’s Australian crush randomly shows up to stay with him, Rory’s torn between the boyfriend he maybe loves, and the guy he thought he was over.
Micah Holtz is the most loyal boyfriend in history.
Since the day Micah first saw Rory, he fell hard. There’s never been a moment where Micah’s doubted his feelings and when they finally start to date, Micah plans to hold on with both hands.
But then Justin arrives from Australia and Micah finds his single-minded attention starting to slip…
Justin Anderson has a plan for everything.
Showing up on Rory’s doorstep is the most adventurous thing Justin’s ever done. He’s lowkey sick with nerves, but knowing Rory’s there makes it all worth it. Until he finds out Rory has a boyfriend. Which was never part of the plan.
Suddenly Justin’s back to his usual game of second-guessing everything, including Rory’s flirting and Micah’s lingering looks.
When Micah’s childhood haunt is set to be torn down, the three of them join forces to try to save the historic building. But will the teamwork add cracks to an already unstable friendship, or bring them closer than they ever imagined?

To whoever needed to read this today. It’s sad that people have tried to shame me for the books I write. Life shouldn’t be like that. I wrote about it, if you’re interested...⠀

In a past life I regularly delivered storytime at a public library. We read stories, sung songs, danced (heads and shoulders is my jam) and at the end we would always play with a cube just like this.
Soon I will be heading back into schools and libraries to read my own stories, so I bought one of these. It has cards in it that say things like 'roar like a lion' or 'find something red'. Kids love it and it is a load of fun.
I’ll never make a fortune writing, so this post certainly is not about the money. It’s about 100 people this year (so far) reading Andy Angus’ story and enjoying it. It’s mind-blowing to me that there are 200-odd people out there that have read, are reading, or are going to read my words. This is a big thank you to you, bookworms, for buying my book and taking time to give such positive and inspiring feedback. Much love to you! Books rock! 👍
One selfie per day to keep the creeps away... I did not sleep well. I probably won’t sleep well until World Book Day has been and gone. At least the system and laws are different and a lot more people are aware of the impact people with cluster b personality disorders have on those around them, but me and my son are still suffering consequences from the problems this woman caused and I don’t particularly want to test the new system and awareness.
When I’m not making my son’s costume, I’m writing and circuit bending. Drawing is taking a backseat this weekend, even though the Princess of the Lake is nearly finished. I have two books that are nearly finished too and both focus on the impact of people with cluster b personality disorders on those around them so it will help with the stress I am feeling in regards to World Book Day.
My nails have been redone. I wish I knew shellac would make knitting and circuit bending a lot easier without making typing and painting more difficult (like acrylic nails) a few years back. I have yet to test it on a string instrument.
Notifications remain off. They’ll be off all weekend. My son’s school chooses a theme for World Book Day most years and we only get one week’s notice. #author#authorsofinstagram#writingcommunity#parenting#horror#horrorcommunity#womeninhorror#circuitbending

The leopard stared back at him. “The White Palace...” continued the Rhinoceros. "takes up one-quarter of the entire zoo’s real estate. For only eight animals? The same eight animals that claim to be running things. Does that seem fair to you?”
I bought some roses at Tesco the other day, and they are blooming beautifully. My life also seems sunny again. The kitchen reno has gained traction with the company coming back next week to finish it (after letting them know my exact thoughts). I've finished my last edit of Betrayal and am now working on getting the different formats ready for beta readers. Most exciting of all, I've received my first samples of the audio version of V-virus Infected Prequel. I was so excited when I heard my book being read out loud, even more so than receiving my first book in print! Life is good 😊
Timing belongs to God! If you will learn to master patience, then it will help you to recognize when you are rushing or when God’s accelerating you! Patience will give us peace even in the midst of chaos! Impatience can’t tell the difference and will cause us to move out of our flesh instead of moving by the spirit! Impatience only makes sense for the moment while patience will make sense for a lifetime! Wait on Him 💗
You turned my mourning into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy... I choose YOU!🙌🏼 Please don’t listen to what man says about you (believe you were created for Gods purpose). Don’t try to repay evil for evil (trust, no one gets away). God is so faithful to heal, deliver & set-free. Make Him your choice & let Him work. I’m a living testimony that He’ll do it, even when the odds “are” (not simply look) against you. Let God be God!❤️
// I'm still falling for you, 🌊
every night it is sweet
like the old wine
you and I used to drink
waiting for the sign,
I'm still falling for you,
when you look me in the eyes
I'm still falling for you,
falling in those ocean eyes
they calm my storm
every part of it.
I'm still falling for you,
as if its magic.
