Artists around the world are fascinated by the Porsche brand. Inspired by the aura of the models from Zuffenhausen, they create works of art that achieve five- and six-figure prices at auctions. The Porsche 911, as the icon of the brand, is often at the centre of the works.
Curated by the renowned painter and performance artist Uli Hack, the book shows a kaleidoscope of contemporary Porsche art.

“The sweet spot: that productive uncomfortable terrain located just beyond our current abilities, where our reach exceeds our grasp. Deep practice is not simply about struggling; it’s about seeking a particular struggle, which involves a cycle of distinct actions.”
It turns out all this harping about goals..
Or business advisors..
Isn’t just to keep you on track..
But it’s actually about affecting your neurology..
Stay with me here..
Let’s say your goal is to sell 100 cars a month (if it isn’t, it should be, by the way)
That obvious and conscious goal..
Along with a manager or owner chirping in your ear..
Will have you going pedal-to- the-metal with massive production and implementation..
But at the SAME time..
Your brain suppresses..
Or flat out ignores..
That little voice that’s whispering warnings about taking crazy risks..
Or carefully thinking things through..
Those things just aren’t at the top of your hierarchy of goals..
You gotta get to 100, remember..
Instead of striding into the end of the month, ready to take the ribbon at the finish line..
You CRASH !!
It’s CAREFULLY constructed goals..
Ones that allow you to operate “at the sweet spot of what’s challenging yet doable”
Are even MORE important than you even realized..
You need to counteract your brain’s hijacking of your subconscious..
Your brain is programmed to let in certain stimuli and suppress others..
And when you’re aware of it..
It can be a powerful tool..
It’s kind of like shutting down rogue apps running in the back of your mind..
It’s why Steve Jobs said:
“I’m actually proud of the things we haven’t done. Innovation is saying “no” to 1000 things “
Like a falcon locked in on a target amid the waving grass..
Or an osprey plucking a fish out of turbulent waters..
Don’t focus on THE struggle to sell 100..
Fix the next struggle that’s holding you back..
Great things have started in garage- Apple, Google, Amazon. Same goes for all the project cars made in there.
Also, a simple idea just to meet for coffee & talk about cars turned into one of the biggest car event (@carsandcoffee.riga ) in Latvia, and there goes my congratz to @sergey_ananic, for creating new automotive wave of joy.
Cheers to that! 🍾
