Now this is something I’m really happy to have been part of as a photographer. The French final of the Chivas Venture program took place last month in Paris. Although backed by a well known brand, somehow this event never fell under my radar.
Social & environmental entrepreneurs can apply to be part of the program where a handful of selected participants pitch in the national challenge to go to the global final. Chivas is backing the best projects, chosen by an expert jury, with a million euros.
In the French final a travel platform for handicapped people, a company utilising reusable cases for food deliveries, an initiative to integrate autistic people in work environments & a read out solution for dyslexic people were competing for the pole position. All these businesses are helping & supporting those who are most in need, therefore it was amazing to see how many people do really care & take action. But if you enter the game, you have to accept the rules of the game, which says only one can go through. So the winner, or should I say the queen, has been crowned, Anaïs Ryterband; co-founder of Pandobac!
Congratulations for the winner & good luck in the global final! And yes, we would love to see more of these great initiatives supporting social & environmental projects! Thumbs up, Chivas!

These little chanterelles made a baging caramelised whey. Ended up tasting like butterscotch and chestnut!
Slow poached in milk for 2 hours before split and caramelised for 4 hours at 74 degrees.

Those are the 4 elements that create a picture, so inspired by them I wanted to recreate the same for a cocktail. I choose ingredients that represent each of the Elements and transform it into a drink:
𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: I choose ingredients that grow under the main light, the sun.
Bergamot Liquor that has been fortified with Lemons
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬: I choose Sherry, Sherry is the only products that thanks to the obscurity , the wind and the shadows create a perfect bioclima for the ageing process
𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭: The main part of a picture. The part that you want to talk about it, the part that you want everyone seeing it. @bombaysapphireus a simple and complex product that brings balance between the subject and the rest of the element
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭: is essential in a great photo. It accentuate the darkness and the brightness creating a balance between the subject and the rest of the picture. Coconut olive oil from Miami and Coffee balsamic from Italy.
The Decisive Moment:
40 ml Bombay Sapphire
20 ml Fortified bergamot
40 ml Sherry Lactic blend *
1 drop Coconut olive oil
3 drops Coffe balsamic
* Sherry Lactic Blend :
15 ml sherry , 15 ml ambrato vermouth , 10 ml americano vermouth, 2 drop lactic solution ( 5 gr lactic acid-100 ml water)
