When I told my family I was moving to Utah, they were surprised. My Mom said, “Why would you ever leave New York? Everything you want is here.”
The first time my parents, siblings and their families came to visit they said they understood why I wasn’t coming home. Loved shoeing my brother and nephew some of my favorite places. Now they’re talking about visiting me for winter break and spring bring to ski weeee :)
Thank you @martysboardshop for the awesome gear and for taking such good care of us! 🙏🤟
This is one of the best reasons to wake up early and go on a sunrise hike. You get to see the morning light cast a golden glow over the evergreens. 🌲☀️

My legs are tired and my ❤️ is full! Thank you #saltlakecity for a fantastic visit! Skiing in this little mountain range with my dearest friends makes me feel real happy! I’m recharged and so ready to get back to my boys! #feelinglucky
We got a lot of rain this weekend but managed to sneak in a #ShopRide without getting washed away. Here are a few photos of Abby and Steve on Lakeview Trail. There have been reports of mud on the Gooseberry road but it sounds like trail conditions are #HeroDirt . As always, call or stop by the shop for the latest trail intel.

If you have been following since the beginning of Makin’ Mondays, you may have noticed that I go wild with encouragement on marriage Monday’s; but I’ve been pretty quiet on that. I needed to be silent because that’s when I Hear God Best.
Friends, I love marriage. I can talk about the topic all day. But my goodness, is it a full-time job + HARD + I definitely don’t say that with discouragement. Through the crushing and pressing I can see how God makes new wine.
It requires dedication. Commitment. Encouragement 24/7. Sacrificing yourself consistently. Grace poured over 100x. Compromising, Understanding + Persistent Patience. Are we willing to be a vessel, an offering and be whatever God wants us to be? Even through our marriage?
It’s not easy to encourage when I’m constantly at a loss for words to make things right, yet again. I would be lying if I said our marriage was all honey.
The reason I enjoyed encouraging marriages out there is because it helps me stay accountable.
But if there’s one thing I realized, it’s that the best way I can ever encourage others, marriages, women, + families is to simply portray the Love Story of Jesus. I pray that Jesus brings New Wine out of us through all the crushing and pressing. + that’s something I don’t intend on stopping; encouraging you to strive better in yourself, marriage + home and for Jesus to bring New Wine out of us all because where there is New Wine there is New Power, New Freedom. 🌿
Isn’t the color of the mineral in this water absolutely breathtaking? My advice.. get out and LIVE. Enjoy what nature has to offer! As it turns out, I live in such a beautiful state with so many amazing things to see. I could explore forever!
That being said.. don’t forget to bring all of your necessary gear, and a map. Turns out preparedness isn’t just something they preach about in Girl Scouts!
For this shot, simply roll out of bed (The View Hotel) just after sunrise, open balcony door and “click.” Wow!
I will tell you that I was bummed to see the clouds rolling in and the forecast for snow on the day I was leaving. 😤Capturing these buttes covered in snow is so special.
Wouldn’t ya know, on my drive out it’s dumping snow (I’ll post a video in story). Oh well, can’t win ‘em all. 😄

Winter walk. Loved the sunshine. It almost balanced out the wind chill. We like getting out either way. Right, Ollie?
Recently I had a meeting up at the Utah Association of Realtors. Elliot Eisenberg came to speak to us about the economy and boy was he a hoot! Super entertaining and funny especially for a statistical economists 📈 type of guy! 😂.
Evidently he’s pretty well known and sends a 70 word or less blog out to his subscribers every day on some blurp about the economy. [If you want to subscribe just text 📲 ‘bowtie’ (minus the quotes) to 22232]
He was talking to some guy when I walked up to get my picture with him and he’s like— excuse me and pushes the guy out-of-the-way to come and talk to me 😂 I was laughing so hard!
Crafted by adventurers, for adventurers. A better for you truffle that’s sweet but not too sweet. Complete protein and complete flavor, for the road trip and the trail. Vegan and gluten free. #seeyouonthetrail 📸 @jr.b.photography
Koda is officially a model! He was tasked with appearing in an advertising campaign for an outdoor bag company. Work it! Work it! We had a lot of fun, highly recommend it if you ever get the chance. First time Koda has ever made us money. That's nice for a change.
“Some Women Fear the Fire.
Some Simply Become It.” Agustina definitely becomes it. Inspiring, artistic, radiating passion for the world and ready to set it on fire with her bravery and a heart so full of creative curiosity. We love hearing Agustina’s view of the world and all the beautiful ideas she has on a daily basis. We are Honored to be in the company of so many amazing women. Park City is a special place for kick ass women! Say what you will about the world, but one thing is for sure - Women are having a renaissance and we are excited to be around to take part in and witness.
We have some exciting things up our sleeves and hope you stay tuned because we’re going to be soliciting your help - doing our part to care for each other and the earth in our own little way. Let’s get going!
If you know me, even digitally here, you know I love to be outside. Outdoors exploring the amazing landscapes of all shapes, sizes and varieties. I love to be out with my camera capturing the beauty that exists out there. But even more than that, I love sharing that with people I know and love.
By no means is this a political post. More, it is about our future in the outdoors. The Utah House of Representatives (@utahreps)--recognizing my love for the outdoors--recently reached out to me, giving me awareness of what they are working on. I really liked their stance on the subject and wanted to share a video they put together about the future of the outdoors here in Utah. You can see that in my stories.
The short of it is this: we all want to enjoy the amazing places that exist here in Utah. We also want to preserve them so that they keep their beauty and are accessible for generations to come. But, with the increase in visitors comes the increase in need for solutions and educations. The Utah House of Reps is proposing to create what they are calling the “Outdoor Adventure Commission,” which is going to be a collaboration of statewide organizations and entities involved in the outdoors from recreation, conservation, industry and others. The goal is to study and find ways to improve access and preservation and continue to make Utah the best place to live, work, learn and play!
started from the bottom, now we’re here... not quite the top, but almost. [10/1]

VULNERABLE POST! This is a scary picture for me to put out there, but it shows my growth better than any visual I could give you. ♥️
The picture on the far left is when I was in high school, dancing about 12 hours a week after school. This picture was taken on a cruise my dance studio went on. I remember thinking that I was fat in this picture and was constantly comparing myself to people around me. I was very uncomfortable in my own skin as demonstrated by that shoulder slump. Gosh, I loved that dress though!
The picture in the middle is from about 3 years ago, at my little sister’s graduation. When I saw this picture I sobbed. I constantly zoomed in and critiqued every inch. My arms, neck, cheeks, etc. This picture was the start of about a year of self hate. I got to the point where I felt bad for anyone who interacted with me, my husband, family, friends, and students. It was a low point.
Then I started to workout and eat differently because I was sick of feeling that way and slowly I began to change. I started focusing on how food made me feel and practicing mindfulness. My mindset shifted during workouts from a form of punishing my body into being smaller to feeling proud of what my body could do for me. ♥️
What I see in the third picture is a woman who no longer begs people not to take her picture, is smiling because she was genuinely happy to be hiking (not for the calorie burn), and someone who isn’t obsessed with “good” and “bad” food. It has taken me a while to get here but I’m so thankful for all of life’s ups and downs that got me to this point.
Have you been in any of these phases? What helped you to move to the next phase? If you need help, I’ve got you!
"Yesterday’s breathtaking hike into the clouds. This is one of my favorite day hikes in the country, have you done it or would you like to? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Friendly reminder 🤓: This is one of the more extreme National Park hikes, and while these chains are installed throughout the the trail for assistance, it’s imperative to wear proper shoes, be cautious, and know your limits.
We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins , carbon in our souls, & nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust with souls made of flames, we are all just stars that have people names. -n.g. ⭐️
Yesterday was a bit of a struggle. One of my favorite springs was crowded because of the holiday with annoying disrespectful kids. It ended up being waaaay colder than I thought (not counting windchill) and I forgot a towel. 😐 but, late at night, everyone left, the springs fell silent, the fish came out & the stars were shining- then my cold soul was happy. 🌜
