IS MY BABY OK? 😟- 1
Every woman goes through motherhood counseling from family and friends especially our mom telling us stories about our childhood and her delivery experience. This also brings anxiety, nervousness and worry in new parents.
So here I am starting a series of stories of my motherhood anxiety.
First topic of "Is my baby ok?" series - Birth weight/colour/height
New parents don't worry that your baby is not born chubby or fair. People visiting your baby will definitely raise many queries regarding your baby's weight, height and colour. But the prime concern is mother and baby's health. If baby is healthy then nothing counts. I was 5 kg when I was born but once i started growing up my BMI always showed underweight. Don't compare your baby with other babies. Each one is unique. Just enjoy the moment with your new born. If your baby is healthy, takes feed, poops and pees and checked by your pediatrician then your baby is ok even if its not chubby or is low weight or not fair skin.
Just tame the worries and enjoy the beauty of motherhood.

The first tea bushes were planted in the mountains between Nuwara Eliya and Kandy and were a huge success both in taste and how fast the tea bushes grew here. The British soon started planting vast areas with tea bushes and one tea plantation after the other popped up, making Nuwara Eliya the tea capital of Sri Lanka’s Hill Country.

Well, the British did of course not plant these bushes themselves, oh no, they used Sri Lankan workers as well as Tamils brought over from India.
