If you are a person who is unapologetically yourself, I salute you.
1. People can label you easier.
2. People will make assumptions about you.
3. People will call you stubborn or hard headed.
4. People will not like your confidence.
The bad news: It’s not easy to be you. You will have altercations with people, face resistance, feel disillusioned, lose friends, gain enemies, and notice that people will try bringing you down.
The good news: We are a minority. Most people in this world will not stand up in a room of 100 people who all believe in the same thing and dare to say, “I disagree.” And that, my friends, is a powerful thing. Do not let the world smother the fire under your passions, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.
I see these cows everyday on my walk! Beautiful black angus cows enjoying life in the pasture:). Today I saw this brown cow amongst all the others, definitely didn’t fit in! And I thought to myself, ‘some days I feel like that!’. Then as I pondered on this picture throughout the day, I realized that I could look at this in a totally different way. Instead of not fitting in, I stand out because I am different, and that’s exactly how it should be! We each have been blessed with differences to bless one another! How boring it would be if we all looked the same, talked the same, and thought the same😳. So embrace who you are and stand out in a crowd!!

Philosophies, cultures, traditions, beliefs: the purpose of them all is just one: the attainment of the highest potential and shed out all the bondages that keep us in the cycle of life. In Yogic culture, 4 such paths are defined: Karma Yoga - attaining liberation through performing rightful duties, Bhakti Yoga - attaining liberation through devotion, Jnana Yoga - attaining liberation through acquiring knowledge and Raja Yoga - attaining liberation through working on disciplining body and mind. These are meant as manual to stay in the right track and not stray away from the final destination.
Ancient Indian culture mentions there are 4 purusharthas or end goals which any individual works for: Dharma (righteousness); Kama (pleasure); Artha (prosperity) and Moksha (final liberation). To attain these goals are the various paths - Yoga, religion or even modern science. Many times it so happens that we go round and round obsessing over the dynamics of the path that we forget about our end goals.
Of course, we cannot reach them without taking any one of those paths. Take those paths, learn the dos and donts from them, ponder over them. But they aren't fruitful unless we do not realise how will that become guiding light for attaining Purushartha.
The most important end goal of Yoga too is taking each step with self awareness, evaluating oneself and constantly upgrading and approaching closer to the end goal. And it's harmful to none, you add up a layer of knowledge and experience to you everyday and shed the layer of negative beliefs or destructive thoughts and beliefs everyday. Learn, serve and grow; not destroy and diminish. Detach from the blind beliefs and strengthen your unique paths making use of those manuals. It's about attaining the state of non-GPS: the goal unique to only your life's purpose, the location and permutations of pathways no one has been in before!

I was delighted to read this magical book. My eyes welled up and I found myself sobbing with so much happiness, I read it over 5 times in the first hour. I cannot recommend this book enough. Mummas your babies NEED this book.

(1/2) • Welcome Home 🍁 How do you feel so comfortable in your body? This is something I get asked a lot! 🍂 The truth is, and I think this applies to everyone, we don’t always feel comfortable in our bodies 24/7 it’s a process and a practice that’s always changing. Here’s what I’ve done and what I practice to help release any constraints and step into a more expressive, creative & “I don’t give a F🦆ck” kind of realm with my body, mind and spirit ⚡️ Before I dive in, let me ask you this, how do YOU (specifically) feel comfortable anywhere? Think about it. You Probably decorate your home, your car, your office with things that bring you joy, things that are useful to you or maybe relax you right? Take a moment and think of all the cozy, empowering and love filled things you have in your little nest, list them in your head or on paper, photos of loved ones, plants, books, pillows, art, memories, music, colors, food, textures all of it!
Your body is no different
Your body IS your home. The original, truest most pure home that is made for you. It always has been, since the moment you took your first breath and it always will be. Why not make yourself as comfy and free as possible since you’re going to be here for a while ;) Your physical home space is a reflection of all the magic and creativity inside that gorgeous beating heart of yours. ☀️
SO here’s a list of important things I’ve come up with, practiced and still implement into my daily life to remind myself that I am whole, I am safe and at peace in my body, my home. ✨
• MEDITATION • Go inward once a day and clean up! Throw out negative dialogues that stink up the place and plant in its place your favorite flower. Give it a name, love, joy, forgiveness. Make sure to clear out anything that isn’t yours, open the windows, let some fresh air in 🧼 🧹 • PASSION • Make sure to do the things that bring you happiness, make it your priority! Go on hikes more frequently, connect with your family, yoga, paint, sing. Create what you want and stop holding yourself back! ⚡️
