The only thing truly free for us in this world is God’s gift of eternal life, through the blood atonement of Christ on the cross. Jesus’ suffering and death fulfilled Old Testament prophesies, and through his blood, God established a new and eternal covenant with all mankind. People nowadays are willing to stand in line for hours just to get a few dollars of discount, how much more eager should we be to accept Christ?
Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord. Amos 8:11
God tells us that in end times He will harden hearts of those who know the Truth but choose to dilute it or live with one foot in and one foot out. God does not tolerate fence sitting and the consequences are plainly written.
Father God our prayer this morning is to take off any scales from our eyes, hearts and spirits so that we may receive and live Your Truth in honour of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and in obedience to Your will.
Father God our desire is not to be ever separated from you. Soften our hearts as we reach out and call Abba Father never let go of us.
We pray and praise this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh. Amen #God#Jesus#HolySpirit#Bible
What we often keep stashed away in our hearts are things that have brought us great unhappiness: Anxiety—hidden, but easily retrieved. Anger—below the surface, but ready to strike. Resentment—silently corroding the core of our thoughts.
The apostle Paul addressed a more positive way to “think” in a letter to the church at Philippi. He encouraged the people of the church to always rejoice, to be gentle, and to bring everything to God in prayer (Philippians 4:4–9). Paul’s uplifting words on what to think about helps us see that it’s possible to push out dark thoughts and allow the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (v. 7). It’s when the thoughts that fill up our minds are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and praiseworthy that we keep His peace in our hearts (v. 8). What unwelcome thoughts have stubbornly taken residence in my mind and heart? What’s one way I can daily fill up my mind with good things?
Unlike many of Paul’s other epistles, his letter to the Philippians doesn’t seem to be a response to a serious crisis or conflict within the congregation (only one relational conflict is mentioned in 4:2). Instead, Paul’s primary motivation seems to be to express his deep gratitude for the support of the Philippian believers (vv. 14–18) as well as to rejoice with and encourage a greatly loved community of faith. The tone of the letter conveys that he shares a unique spirit of comradery and trust with this faith community, which he describes as his “joy and crown” (v. 1). Paul senses with these believers a deep unity as those who “share in God’s grace” (1:7). Instead of focusing on addressing weaknesses within the congregation, he’s able to joyfully encourage them to go deeper in their walk with Christ (v. 27), learning to experience joy in Christ even when suffering (v. 29). #Wednesday#today#night#devotion#ourdailybread
Thanksgiving and praises belong to our heavenly Father God through Christ Jesus, the salvation of our soul!
Colossians 3:1-3 said, "If then you have a new life with Christ, give your attention to the things of heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Keep your mind on the higher things, not on the things of earth. 3 For your life on earth is done, and you have a secret life with Christ in God." These verses spoke to those were once sinners but now have turned to God.
Those who have turned their backs from sinful ways must think that they have died from the ways of this world. They have abandoned their past sinful ways.
Now, they are living with Christ, who is united with God. They should keep in mind heavenly thoughts. They should start living life in righteousness by keeping God into their hearts now.
1 John 2:15-17 further said, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." Amen! The worldly things are not from our God.
To those who keep God into their hearts, God said in Psalms 91:14, "Because he has given me his love, I will take him out of danger: I will put him in a place of honour, because he has kept my name in his heart." Praise God!
May we keep our minds on things above, which are godly thoughts, and not of the things of this world. Let's pray for God to strengthen us to be able to keep Him in our hearts and live a life worthy of the promised place of honor and eternal life with God.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that God's Hold Word and a delicious pink drink have truly been #lifechanging for me. Of course the benefits of the Scriptures (just the Scriptures itself!) far outweigh any I could get anywhere else!

"For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools." Romans 1:19-22 ESV

2 Korintus 3:18 TB
You are not alone in this wide universe.
Though you’ve grown, you are not on your own. God is there. He has great plans for you. All He asks is that You follow Him for a lifetime of blessings.
He knows you more than any counselor. He is more able than any doctor to heal.
He knows what you truly desire and what you truly need. He has good things wrapped up and stored away, waiting for the right time to deliver them.
Believe that He cares for you now and will care for your future. Depend on Him as He renew our strength and the wings of faith will lift our hearts above our difficulties. Worry ends when faith begins.
Watch for His blessings. Wait on His timing.
Today's Gospel Thursday 27 February, 2020 * For Cheesefare Thursday
The Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke. ( 23:1-31, 33, 44-56)
At that time, the chief priests, the scribes, and elders of the people brought Jesus before Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ a king." And Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" And he answered him, "You have said so." And Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, "I find no crime in this man." But they were urgent, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee even to this place." When Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean. And when he learned that he belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him over to Herod, who was himself in Jerusalem at that time. When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had long desired to see him, because he had heard about him, and he was hoping to see some sign done by him. So he questioned him at some length; but he made no answer. The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing him. And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him; then, arraying him in gorgeous apparel, he sent him back to Pilate. And Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before this they had been at enmity with each other.
Pilate then called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them, "You brought me this man as one who was perverting the people; and after examining him before you, behold, I did not find this man guilty of any of your charges against him; neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Behold, nothing deserving death has been done by him; I will therefore chastise him and release him."
“Then the entire council took Jesus to Pilate, the Roman governor. They began to state their case: “This man has been #leading our people astray by telling them not to pay their #taxes to the Roman government and by claiming he is the #Messiah , a king.” So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, “You have said it.” Pilate turned to the leading priests and to the crowd and said, “I find #nothing#wrong with this man!” Then they became insistent. “But he is causing riots by his #teaching wherever he goes—all over Judea, from Galilee to Jerusalem!” “Oh, is he a Galilean?” Pilate asked. When they said that he was, Pilate sent him to Herod Antipas, because Galilee was under Herod’s jurisdiction, and Herod happened to be in Jerusalem at the time. Herod was #delighted at the #opportunity to see Jesus, because he had heard about him and had been hoping for a long #time to see him #perform a #miracle . He asked #Jesus question after #question , but Jesus refused to #answer .” Luke 23:1-9 NLT #bible#readthebible#readthroughthebible#sunset#countryliving#farmlife#clouds

Lent 2020 ~
A time of year that has become a spiritually enriching part of my life. During Lent, there is a unique focus on the life of Christ - especially His suffering in the desert before His work and following passion. At the end of Lent, (the grand finale, you could say) the Resurrection feast is celebrated. Lent is an arrow pointy always to the Risen Lord.
Seasons like Lent encourage one, through the study of God's Word, fasting, prayer, and charity, to grow deeper in the faith. This growth then spurs on a desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus.
Lent is an evangelical period as much as it's a period of penitence. .
Soli Deo Gloria.
Today’s memory verse //psalms 37:8. •Jesus today we pray upon peace for ourselves and each of every Person who feels angry , let down and fustrated at the world. • we come to you for strength in our weakness of what hurts us and what distracts us from you.
