I am my own biggest critic.
When I look at this clip all I see is the fact that I could stand to lose about 10 pounds, how much I dislike my accent, and that I could have been a rapper because clearly I have bars 🤦🏾♀️
I sometimes wonder why people even want to book me for speaking engagements and I’m even MORE shocked when they call me back to speak again.
This has been such a long season of back to back trauma, loss, turmoil, and just good ole fashion TROUBLE. In this season I almost literally never feel adequately prepared enough to present myself to the crowd of onlookers eager to hear a word of encouragement or a ripe on time rhema word.
February is about to come an end. Keep up the hustle.

In the end, what is implanted in one's mind appears to be life. David was able to rise again from his suffering because there was words in it. Faith comes from hearing, and it is right that hearing begins with words.
We could have blessing upon blessing upon blessing surrounding us and yet we can laser focus on the one thing that’s going wrong!
Y’all let’s not give him that power today! He’s done nothing to earn our joy or peace, or attention!
And many times, those “things” don’t even impact our lives! We just give them power in our minds to spread like weeds. 🌱
What purpose does a weed have?
It chokes out anything else that has life around it! And they multiply FAST!! We have the power to redirect and control our thoughts. Its if we choose to take authority over them that’s the question.
Our Savior didnt conquer death for us to be held hostage to our thoughts!
Or the enemy!
I challenge you today, if you’re struggling with focusing on what’s going wrong in your day, if you feel you can’t redirect: ✨Look around you!✨
List the amazing things that ARE happening in your life! Small AND big!
And praise God right now for those!
• My family is strong and healthy! • our business is doing so good! • I have the most amazing friends. • my marriage is strong!• my kiddos know and praise Jesus daily!! • I get to stay home and be available for my kiddos • I have the most amazing church and youth family! • I have a husband who is present and loves Jesus with all his heart!
Growing up is hard. Starting a new job.. getting to know new people.. being vulnerable.. balancing new and more responsibility... there are so many aspects to growing up. When I think about things this way it over whelms me. I start to think of todos, check lists, goals etc. but that is not how it is supposed to be.
So I’m taking a step back. I am prioritizing according to God’s Word. I am giving up control to Him. I am praying. I am committing to fellowship. I am committing to a supportive work environment. I am choosing to be loving. I am choosing to make decisions. I am choosing Jesus.
It’s a lot. At times I feel overwhelmed. It’s okay. God is showing me I don’t have to do it all. God is showing me I just have to show up and be around others. God is showing me that He’s got my back 💛
Comment a 🌻 to spread some positivity 💛
And try to tag a friend this could help. ••• #inbeautyandchaos#theeverydayproject#lovelysquares#thrivewhereistand#communityovercompetition
Search me O God, and know my heart.
I finished reading Dangerous Prayers by @craiggroeschel last week and wow. Let's just say my heart is overwhelmed and terrified, in a good way. So often, we pray safe prayers, ones that won't necessarily hurt us or change us. But what if you started praying Psalm 139:23-24 that says, "Search me O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Groeschel says "We don't want God to just show us the impurity of our hearts. We want more than to simply know our fearful and anxious thoughts. We desire more than just knowing how we are offensive. We want God to lead us, to direct us, to guide us to become who he wants us to be. (...) Don't pray this prayer lightly. Don't pray it half-heartedly. This isn't a game or a sterile little spiritual exercise to help you have a better day. This is a soul-cleansing, heart-mending, eternity-altering prayer." Wow. I want to pray this prayer, but I am terrified! But I want my prayer life to change, so I will walk by faith and do it. #dangerousprayers#craiggroeschel#searchme#psalm139#biblejournaling#illustratingmyfaith#illustratedfaith#printprayshop#if_printandprayshop
My arms are still shaking! 💪💪💪 #upperfix today. This was round 2 and I was still up on my toes! Very happy with my #progressnotperfection Have a Beautiful day!!! ❤️

I recently started reading a book on the theme of terror in the Bible, specifically with women as the subject. Ya know. Casual.
While the implications and ramifications of the story of Hagar deeply confound me, there’s something I love about the narrative that keeps my heart afloat while reading.
After Abram allows Sarai to begin abusing Hagar, she flees to the wilderness.
It’s important to note that throughout her wandering, Hagar never once calls on the Lord. In her experience, that's the god that got her into this mess in the first place. It’s the god Sarai blamed for her barrenness. The god that allowed her abuse and suffering.
God knows this, and He FINDS Hagar in the wilderness anyway. Not only does He find her, He becomes the first character in this story to say her name directly.
God becomes the first to acknowledge the personhood of the oppressed.
In response, Hagar reacts in kind and becomes the first and only person to name God in the Bible. And the name she chooses is Yahweh, the "God of seeing.” Why is this so powerful? Hagar’s naming of God brings heaven down to earth. It’s another glimpse into His heart for relationship. "Her naming unites the divine and human encounter: the God who sees and the God who is seen.” -Phyllis Trible
Hagar’s story depicts persecution through nationality, class, and sex. And though the narrative continues to strip her of a name and promise, it’s in that first wilderness moment that I find hope. My God sees. He is a God that seeks out the oppressed and speaks their name.
He is a God of dignity and deliverance. He is a God that offers justice to the abused, comforts the grieving, feeds the hungry, and protects the weak. As a follower of this God, shouldn't we be the ultimate reflection of this heart? Is this what we're known for? #WorthConsidering

"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to dejection. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." -James 4: 8-10
May the coming Lenten season be a season of renewing love and restoring grace. Let's keep on drawing near to God.

How are you viewing your current situation? (Or “si -shi-a-shuns” 😉) . Is it with a heart of fear or worry or anger and frustration? Maybe you’re believing in God to work things out with your marriage, or your homework ,or a new business venture. The question is, have you taken a deep look into having the right outlook? When your boss is yelling at you, do you thank God that He positioned you to be a light in a dark working environment?
The Bible says in Philippians 4:8 that whatever is true, noble, just, pure and lovely should be the things that have our mindful meditation. It’s not easy, especially when we see a lot of the opposite. But take today as your starting point to “think better” . Remind yourself that ALL things work together for good to them who love God and are called. .
Be aggressive in finding your positive outlook, even in the midst of difficulties. It is not the situation that makes your life. It’s what you do with it. #faith#positivity#jesus#church#biblejournaling#bibledevotion#seattlewashington
So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection 🕊 life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from His perspective. 🙏🏼Father, thank you that you call me😌into this intimate relationship with Jesus. Help me to put my roots down deep and to keep my eyes fixed on you. Help me to guard this relationship and never allow other things, even good things, to crowd in and choke my life.
Today in my Facebook memories, are these photos of our maternity pictures from 1 year ago with Ryder in my belly, and Lincoln at 20 months old. Also today in my Facebook memories is a post I shared 2 years ago, with a story. ♥️ Read below...
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

Welcome!!! I wanted to make my first post introducing myself and what I hope happens with this space, so here we go...!
My name is Caitlin, and I created this space out of the desire to share God’s love and my love for Him. I walk with Him daily, trying to share His love in every aspect of my life and every interaction in my life—my husband, my children, my friends. My hope is that I can share His goodness with you all and help you all draw closer to Him. Even if you aren’t a Christian, I welcome you here, because His love is transformative. Even if you feel you aren’t perfect in your daily walk with God, and let’s face it—none of us are, or even if you feel like you can’t be redeemed or forgiven because of the sins you’ve committed in your life, you are welcome. I’ll share my testimony soon, because as you’ll see, I am far from perfect and I thought I would never be forgiven for the sins I committed. I questioned God, I doubted my faith, and I strayed from Him. But God found me in my darkness, lifted me out of it with His strong right hand, and carried me toward His redemptive love. My faith is stronger today than ever and I hope you can find that one day too.
God is on your side.
He's genuinely invested in your well-being.
Devoted to seeing you succeed.
Actively working to bring about the absolute best for you.
And if it's true that He is for us, why should we be concerned about whatever else might be against us?
We all face adversity in this life. It's an inevitability.
"In this world, you will have trouble," Jesus said in John 16:33.
But what he says next is the most important part:
"But take heart! I have overcome the world."
A life of following God isn't a life without trouble, or pain, or hardship.
It's a life that's built on the conviction that no matter what is against us, it's nothing compared to the God who is FOR us.
Trust Him, follow Him through the storm, and watch as Jesus overcomes the world in your life as he overcame it in his own.

“The next time your child asks you, “What do these requirements and regulations and rules that GOD, our God, has commanded mean?” tell your child, “We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt and GOD powerfully intervened and got us out of that country. We stood there and watched as GOD delivered miracle-signs, great wonders, and evil-visitations on Egypt, on Pharaoh and his household. He pulled us out of there so he could bring us here and give us the land he so solemnly promised to our ancestors. That’s why GOD commanded us to follow all these rules, so that we would live reverently before GOD, our God, as he gives us this good life, keeping us alive for a long time to come. “It will be a set-right and put-together life for us if we make sure that we do this entire commandment in the Presence of GOD, our God, just as he commanded us to do.””
Deuteronomy 6:20-25, The Message
Finished Galatians 💙
Keep me from boasting in any of my gifts or abilities. BUT only boasting in Christ Jesus in me, whom is the only thing that allows goodness to come out of me.
Remind me that I have been crucified to the world and it to me. I am no longer a part of this world.
Keep my eyes focused on Eternity with You.
No outward sign is important for my salvation... Only inner change. Complete change. Transform me into my new nature in Christ. Help me to live out of that freedom.
I NEED Your peace and mercy, moment by moment.
I NEED Your grace, for I am so imperfect.
I NEED You.
In Jesus name...
I’m about 12 days behind on my Chronological Bible Reading plan.
Typically, falling behind makes me want to just give up entirely. “If I cannot do it perfectly, why bother doing it all all?” This is a lie I continually have to battle.
I’m behind but I can still read every day. I can choose to read extra, or I could even just be 12 days behind, and somehow the world will keep spinning
I should not be reading just to check the box. That’s the difficult part of following a plan, for me. I have to consistently check my heart. Of course I have to train the “muscle” of discipline and learn how to be consistent in my Bible reading habit.
I also want it to be about fellowship with Jesus. Us meeting together every day. I don’t usually call it a “quiet time” because it sets an unrealistic expectation for my time. I have two small children, so quiet is not common around here. I just show up with Blippi playing in the background, and that’s okay.
I hope you give it another go if you’ve also fallen off the wagon. Or, maybe just choose to start today. To get into the word. There are so many plans you could follow; or just choose to study a certain book for the month. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
My best friend gave me this necklace two years ago. At the time I had been praying to God asking him what my name was. Obviously I have an earthly name, but I wanted to know when he looked at me from heaven, what did he call me? What was the name I had been given when I was created in Christ? And he called me strength. It was something I did not have a lot of in that time in my life, when I had distanced myself from God. He told me that strength who I am but it’s also the thing I lack without him for he is the one who gave me my identity. I told my friend this story and shortly after she gave me this necklace saying, “Now you will never forget who you are and you will always have him with you to draw your strength from.” •
I am forever grateful for this gift she has given me. It has served as a great reminder of my identity when I start to doubt, especially in this season of lent as I dedicate myself to giving up something worldly or starting a new spiritual habit to draw closer to God and show my gratitude for his son dying for us! During this time we are able to grow our spiritual muscles and practice these spiritual disciplines. So I encourage you all to do this as well, and see how incredible this season of selflessly living for him can be.
mark 6 🌿
the depiction of feeding the 5000 hits differently in mark than in matthew... 👌🏻 Jesus’ command to disciples to come away and rest AFTER teaching the word is such an important concept!
how often do we pray before we do something, but never spend the time afterwards to get back with Jesus for a debriefing?
if we don’t dedicate time to be quiet and center ourselves back in the Lord, we are susceptible to the enemy breaking in... and ooooh goodness his he chomping at the bit, waiting to sprinkle a little pride here or a little self-loathing there 😩
but Jesus always knows what we need, both before and after we commit to an action. we can’t predict the outcome, but He already knows. 🙌🏻💕
the next time you catch yourself saying a prayer before, i challenge you to set a reminder to bring yourself back to him after. Let Jesus be your coach, let him rewind the tapes, let Him be the ONLY one to judge your play. And by all means, learn from the lessons he teaches you. 🌿
Just because your Bible doesn’t seem to be as full of notes as someone else, doesn’t make you any less of a Christian. I’ve had comments (from friends of mine) that broke my heart because they thought since their Bible didn’t look like mine they were a weren’t following God as well. That’s not true. Your Bible doesn’t have to have notes scrawled across every spare inch or have colors racing across every line. There are many people who don’t do either, but that doesn’t make them a bad Christian. Don’t compare yourself to others, because you don’t know what’s really going on behind the scenes. You don’t need a Bible full of notes and colors, you just need a heart that seeks after God first. If you’re trying to read daily, that’s all that matters.

Here’s a post to answer one of the most asked questions. My Bible is called the My Creative Bible. It’s KJV and you can get it online or I’m pretty sure Barnes and Noble. I use pilot g2 pens and I’m obsessed with them. I seriously don’t use any other pen ever. I use sharpie retractable highlighters. I made a video going over everything that I have used (minus these highlighters because I bought them after the video...let me know if you want an updated video 😂) on my YouTube and that’s linked in my Bible. I tend to be better explaining things verbally so the video is probably better.😂❤️ let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll make a post/video about it.😊

Only the high priest was allowed past the veil once a year to make atonement for the people of Israel (Lev. 16, Heb. 9:7). That means only one person had direct access to God...and only one time a year. Because of the cross, we no longer have to go through a high priest. We have direct access to God. We can enter His presence every day if we want. How amazing is that? We take it for granted so much. We don’t realize how privileged we are.
I get questions a lot about how I stay consistent in my Bible reading, how I stay in God’s Word. My answer is always that I don’t like myself when I’m not in it. My natural, sinful bent is to be terrible. It just is. I’m mean and prideful and rude and bitter. But when I camp out in God’s truth, I have the ability to fight my sinful nature. Equip yourself with the truth. Secondly, when you truly discover the beauty of Scripture, it’s not a chore to read it anymore - it’s addictive. This love is contagious. Third, the Bible is Reality and it is hope. Why would I want to live without those things?

My faith went from shaky to solid. Here's how👇🏼.
For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with studying the Bible. I knew how important it is. I wanted to study the Bible. I wanted to make time for my daily QT, and I wanted to actually look forward to it, dadgummit. But I was just clueless when it came to actually making it happen.
I mean, let's be honest. We see all of those cutesy instagram photos with journaling Bibles laid out with a plethora of colorful notes scrawled on top of them and -- I can't be the only one -- we sometimes think, "Man, I wish I could study the Bible like that." Or we hear pastors preaching on Sunday morning and pull AMAZING points out of passages that we've read hundreds of times and think, "How did he do that? I want to be able to know the Word like that!"
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #BeenThereDoneThat .
But God pushed me to keep going. For 5 years, I researched the heck out of it, asked pastors, read books, and experimented with different ways of studying the Bible....
Over those 5 years, God did a few things on my heart.
And I FINALLY found a way that is both super simple✔️ (that ANYONE can do!), super fun🤩 (yes, FUN), and super effective 🧨(as in, dynamite powerful).
It completely changed me.
My life flipped upside down (or rightside up, I should say), my relationship with God strengthened dramatically, I was filled with peace and joy, my family relationships and friendships got better, I prospered at school and work, and I started living the abundant life that my King created me for.
A life filled with hope, freedom, adventure, and purpose 🤪.
👉🏽All because I decided to make God a priority, dig into His Word, and allow it to transform me from the inside out.
My deepest desire, now, is to see as many women as I possibly can experiencing the life-changing power of the Bible, too.
That's why I made #BibleStudyMadeEasy .
😊️Will you join me in chasing after the abundant life?
If so, click the link in my bio, and let's do this!

matthew 28 ✝️☕️
all throughout the Bible we are called to spread only the truth of God’s word. if we are not careful, the enemy can creep in and craft a false story that looks a LOT like truth — but isn’t. the religious leaders do exactly this in chapter 28. they craft a lie for the guards to tell when the guards report Jesus’ ressurection. the enemy wants to strip the power of our God’s word away, and the religious leaders attempt to make it seem like the events at the tomb were a mistake. we need to stand firm against these lies. 💪🏻
Jesus calls us to make disciples from all nations... this is His mission for us in our lifetime, and He promises that when we are in alignment with this mission, He will always be with us! Jesus KNOWS from experience that spreading truth is no easy task, and we WILL need Him to guide us towards it constantly.
my lovely friend @caffeinatedsaint posted a story today about the importance of finding biblical truth and staying away from enemy-crafted constructs that are not aligned to God’s word. We need to be hyper-aware of the active attempts being made to lead us astray on a daily basis. I 1000% recommend you go catch her story before it’s gone. 🤍
