Sometimes I get to play dress up! I tell you something, being styled by celeb stylist and designer @charlie_brear is a dream! No one knows how to transform an outfit with accessories and layers like Charlie! .
I’ve always had a soft spot for Charlie Brear. They were one of two U.K. designers I instantly noticed when I was engaged 8 years ago as the only two who actively and consistently used black women and women of colour in their bridal campaigns. So I’ve always had a soft spot for them because they didn’t enable what was so often believed in fashion houses,
media and the wedding industry that “black women don’t sell” and used us and others to front their campaigns, without apology. They saw us. They saw our beauty and they cared about providing a service that included us when so many designers didn’t and still don’t. SO! When Charlie asked me if I would take part in a style diary to visit their London dreamy boutique to explore what I would wear if I got married again (to Mr NU Bride of course) I had to say yes. The boutique has such a friendly laid back vibe with interior design to die for. We spoke about why I started Nu Bride 8 years ago when I felt invisible as a modern British black woman, and the frustrating truth is I know many of you still feel the way I did 8 years ago, so we also had a blissful unedited conversation about the wedding industry, racism and white privilege and it was bliss and this and their chic talent is why I love the @charlie_brear brand.
We chose the saucy BIBA dress for the morning after the night before for breakfast or a chic city wedding . Stay tuned for more on what we got up to on here and my stories.
Also thanks @mclipstick for pimping me up

The Ezenagu’s Extravaganza ———————————————————
6 is a number that has so much meaning in our relationship...we met on June 6, 2015...we are exactly 6 years apart...his parents anniversary is also on June 6th and small details like the amount of children we want (which we want 6 kids) down to us both having 6 tattoos (it’s weird I know) We even got engaged 6 months to the date of him moving back to America from China (which was a very hard time for us both)...this date means so much to Us both and no matter what this date is the day we will say I DO!!! Let the 6 month count begin ————————————————————

Kkkkk #bride#wedding#blackbrides#blackwoman#curlyhair
As a single, 25-year old black man, with limited relationship experience. I’m arguably the last person someone should consider to speak to the broader narrative of black love in the 21st century, let alone capture the love story of Duane and Makenzie Rollins. Yet, in spite of my apparent insufficiencies, I embraced the moment.
Late last year, one of my OG’s asked “𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦? 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘦/𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝟸𝟷𝘴𝘵 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺.”
I thought 🤔 well I’ve listened to D’Angelo, Jill Scott, Marvin Gaye, etc. so I guess I’m your guy. And with no idea of what I would write or if I was even qualified, I accepted the challenge. Nonetheless, I’m grateful to the couple for trusting me with their story. I hope you all enjoy this preview. The link to the full article is in my bio.
Lastly, despite how it may seem I’m no expert on relationships or marriage. I just have the gift of writing, a unique perspective, and the willingness to allow God to speak through me. And with that being said, I’m now accepting wedding gigs. Lol

#7 : Whew chile, the pressure was high! The time was winding down. And I do mean like - ⌛️ NO TIME LEFT 😂. She hopped in the chair: “Gimme a 25 minute beat girl, we gots ta GO!” ✅ Say less. #FACEitMakeupArtistrybyJ
Getting my skills together for my 2020 brides and makeup lovers! This image is straight off the camera with no filter or edits. The skin prep and foundation application is the most important part to a flawless glam look. Taking the time to asses my clients skin needs will help the foundation to lay smoother and blend out seamlessly. For this look I used @blackopalbeauty True Color Stick Foundation to create this full coverage glam.
What are some of your favorite full coverage foundations? .
I said HELL YES!.... 2018 Ended on a super high note.... I went to Denmark to begin the new year with my boyfriend and left with a Fiancé..... We went out for a walk a couple of days before the year ended....in the middle of nowhere, found a tree that had other couples names on it.... Being the mushy hopeless romantic that I am, I made him add our initials to the lot. He completed it with a heart, using his car keys. When he was done, I stepped back to admire my man's handy work with a big ole smile on my face and he dropped down on one knee right there, told me he loved me and asked me to be his wife.
I was a happy crying mess. We must have stood on that spot for about a half an hour hugging, kissing and crying in each others arms.
It's crazy the twists and turns life takes you .... the unexpected paths you end up taking to find your bliss.
