New beginnings often equate to the unknown, and depending on how you frame this, it can either be wildly exciting and you are open to undiscovered exhilarating adventures or it can paralyse you in dark fear at the extreme end of the scale.
You can, of course, sit somewhere in the middle.
Most authors have no choice but to take this path, especially when it is their first taster of true visibility.
Lots of new beginnings are taking shape here this week for both clients and self.
A brand spanking new shiny (yes it's literally shiny with foil gold lettering on the book cover) book is arriving today!
A new book with a beautiful new client is in the early stages of creation as we plan out the inspirational storyline.
Another client has almost reached the finale of his writing journey and the new beginning for him lies in the book creation and seeing that beauty come together. This person doubted his ability to finish - what a transformation!
Three clients have planned, plotted, shifted into the desired mind space and are embarking on their first chapter this week.
And last but not least, my new beginning is in the final touches to my new programme guiding writers and authors in creating a dream writing career for themselves - writing about what they LOVE and nothing less and getting paid to do so!
All of these examples took a shift in the perspective of
*what they were capable of
*that they were worthy and could offer value to the world
*believing in themselves enough to complete without sabotaging their efforts
*enjoying the journey!
it's of huge importance to be loving what you do and running at it with wide-open arms, an open mind and a desire so strong it will take you above and beyond your fears!

Protest is the distillation of a simple human experience - to witness a wrong being done, and to do something about it. The stories featured in Trouble celebrate protest, rebellion, disobedience and general bloody-mindedness in all of its forms.
The best writing about protest should inspire, educate, motivate, compel and of course, entertain. And that’s what this collection is all about. There are historical protest stories, stories set in the future and stories of personal protest against sexual and racial discrimination. And last but not least, the closing story, The Calling, which embodies the simple truth that sometimes all you can do in protest is to make a lot of noise.

Love Her or Lose Her| ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Love Her or Lose her is the second book in Tessa Bailey's Hot and Hammered series. This story follows married couple Rosie and Dominic as they struggle to make their marriage work. Rosie is tired of having no communication with Dominic so she forces him to choose marriage counseling or she'll be gone for good.
What I liked: I enjoyed having a romance with a married couple, because it brings such a different dynamic to the story. Rosie was such a great MC and I was rooting for her the whole time and the personal journey she went on to achieve her dreams and demand more for her life and her happiness. And as always, Tessa Bailey knows how to bring the steam.
What I didn't like: I really struggled with my opinion of Dominic. While at times I could empathize with his mindset and everything he went through, I just found it hard to fully get on board with him and the way he treated Rosie at times and just how possessive he was. I also personally wasn't a fan of his "honey girl" nickname.
It’s here. And it looks perfect. My desperate plea on Valentine’s Day worked and I finally can add LITTLE WOMEN to my collection 😍 I’m thinking of reading it for the #botmbacklog2020 project in March. Technically the prompt is “read your longest book” which is Flight Portfolio for me. But I have a feeling I could get an audio version of little women and sit down with the book every now and then making it a faster read. What’s your longest book? Tell me below ⬇️

This is not part of the daily designs thing I've been doing.
For that, I'll be uploading something different later today.
That's an older design I made on 99designs last summer but didn't win the contest.
I kept contemplating if I should do this or not—but, I feel it's just sad and disheartening not to try and share these designs (since A. I'm proud of them. B. According to 99d, they are still kinda mine.) The concept is the author's—so, I won't be trying to sell it as premade cover either (it won't feel right so, I just decided to share it here)

Hi guys! How are you? ❤️
Have you bought something recently? Here some books I got last week! 📚
I've already read the ebook of Well Met and I loved it, so I had to buy the book itself! While I'm very curious to read Lovely War and One Of Us Is Lying. This year I'm trying to read other genres besides Fantasy and Sci-fi, and Mystery and Historical books are two genres I want to read more.
Making a big ass trip to the post office today so anyone with orders over the weekend should be expecting a delivery soon 🙏🏽 My rep search is also open for another 5 days if anyone wanted to get those last minute entries in 🖤
¿Autor para recomendar? Brandon Sanderson,¡siempre!

📚Book 9 of 2020: My Sister, The Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite
My Sister, The Serial Killer is a short and snappy novel that manages to pack a big punch in its 223 pages. In it, nurse Korede has felt responsible for little sister Ayoola their entire lives and that sense of responsibility has only deepened in their adulthood. After Ayoola phones Korede one night begging for help, Korede knows what to expect. This is the third boyfriend of Ayoola's who has wound up dead, killed by Ayoola in "self-defense", and with her fastidious love of cleaning and a cool head, Korede is the perfect accomplice when wanting to dispose of a body. Despite Ayoola's murderous streak and apparent lack of remorse, Korede would never do anything to jeopardise her sister's freedom. But when Ayoola catches the eye of Tade, a doctor at the hospital where Korede works and with whom Korede has long been in love, she will have to choose: to save Tade from a probable untimely death or to remain loyal to the sister she has always protected.
This novel was so fast-paced and sharp: with chapters that are never longer than about 4 pages (often shorter), there is never much time to catch a breath before we are hurtled into the next phase of action. The writing is simple but extremely effective and manages to feel very tongue-in-cheek without detracting from the tension. Ayoola is hilarious, horrifying and sympathetic all at once and Korede is a more complex character than you'd expect from such a short and action-packed novel: smart, caring, fiercely protective but sometimes quite cold and calculating too.
This is of course a novel about a serial killer but it is never gratuitously gory. In fact there is a relative lack of violence considering the number of Ayoola's victims in so few pages! The surface story, then, is one of murder but the true star of the story is the examination of Korede and Ayoola's sibling dynamic which is written about beautifully. The unconditional love and instinct to protect one another undercut with a simmering vat of jealousy, bitterness and doubt. This is a real celebration of the complexity of sibling relationships, especially between sisters.
#bookreview : 💗ADORKABLE by @cookieogorman💗 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | #youngadult#contemporaryromance
Perfectly titled, teenage angst-filled, an explosion of geeky charm, "Adorkable" was a delight to read – just in time for Valentine’s Day. "Adorkable" instantly captured my attention and held on tight. I was sad when it ended and it had to let me go. My copy also came with additional bonus content, which I’ll read at a later date.
"Adorkable" was an auto-buy for me. I was browsing the shelves in Barnes & Noble, ready to splurge my Christmas money on more books, when my eye caught Adorkable‘s cute cover art. I’ve heard of fake boyfriend/girlfriend stories but had never read one, so I gave this one a try.
The author did a good job pacing the story. I was surprised by how riveting the story was. I was invested in what was at stake. It didn’t feel rushed despite being only 261 pages.
The only character I really liked was Sally. Her mom was so-so but too pushy about setting up Sally with blind dates. Hooker, her supposed best friend, was very unlikable. It seemed like she didn’t care (or refused to care) about Sally’s clearly stated strong desire to not be set up anymore. Becks was also so-so for me. He was sweet at times. Then there were moments when I didn’t like how he treated Sally and took advantage of Sally’s predicament.
Anyway, "Adorkable" was a great story. Perfect pacing. The right amount of suspense, geekiness and drama. It’s refreshing to read a book that really embodies its title – this was truly adorkable.

I didn’t know if I’d ever finish book number one for the year, as I constantly flitted through different texts, but here we are!
The Arsonist tells the heartbreaking, but beautifully written story of the investigation into two fatal fires in the Latrobe Valley on Black Saturday, the finding of a suspect and his subsequent conviction.
Hooper’s research is thorough and eye-opening. She recounts stories from police officers, lawyers, families and victims of the bushfires, from both court documents and personal meetings.
The graphic descriptions of what people experienced physically, mentally and emotionally that day make you want to put the book down, but they provide a sense of what it felt like on that day and what it still feels like all these years later.
"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not"🎪
I am blown away. I am destroyed. My life has changed after reading this piece of perfection.
The book is in my lifetime favourites list. And i am definitely going to re read it.
The book takes place in 1880's and the story moves with some flashes of past and future and present. And it takes years to built the tempo for the main plot.
And it's worth it.
I didn't want this book to end.
The writing of erin morgenstern is so so so good in this book. The picture of the circus is so vivid in my mind. I still feel myself walking through it.
I can smell the food. GOD THE CARAMEL AND SMOKE
I can feel the voices, the air, the acts, the sound of the bonfire, the clock ticking, the patrons walking, the cheers. I can literally feel everything from the circus.
I LIVED THIS BOOK. I HAVE VISITED THE CIRCUS.🎪 AND I ADORE IT. It makes me a rêveur.
The experience was priceless.
Everything is described so clearly with every minuet detail that you lose yourself in it.
I actually wish that the circus was real. I would give up anything in my life to visit it.💫 Talking about the characters, ahhh. Every character was given equal importance in this book. And all of them were amazing. Every character teaches you something.
CELIA and MARCO. 💯I am crying. I love them. I shipped them hard through out the book. They are my new favourite couple.
I longed for their scenes in the book. Their romance is everything for me. Their love is true and hurting and cut right through my heart.
And their first kiss. I AM DONE. Like help me please. I have never read anything that beautiful in my life before.
And I adored the twins. And every other character in the book. Not explaining about more characters because then it will be a spoiler.
The book has so many lessons. About family, about friends, about love, the relations, the sacrifices.
And that, how doing the right thing is always important, no matter what the consequences are.
You fight for what's right and you fight for Love.🖤 #paperbacks_and_heartbreaks#thenightcircus 🎪 #erinmorgenstern#bookreview

Little book haul! ☀️☀️☀️
I had so much fun visiting my hometown recently and of course, I had to stop at my favourite used book store @janusbooksguelph ! The selection is incredible and people are super nice.
Here are the 3 books that I walked out with at the end. Super excited for them all!
Miłego i zaczytanego dnia ❗❗❗ "
Wielki Książę , przepełniony gniewem, wybiera sojuszników, którzy poprowadzą go ku wojnie i upadkowi. Powraca zły demon, zdeterminowany, by szerzyć chaos.
