So excited to read Dark and Deepest Red finally! I put in a request at work for it and was thrilled when we got it in! This book’s synopsis had me at “Dancing plague” and “fairy tale retelling” with The Red Shoes. How could I not read it?? It looks to be a short read, so I’ll probably have it back Tuesday. I’ll have to update with a review when I finish it!

Freakonomics ⭐⭐⭐⭐ &
By Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner. .
One of my goals for this year is to read at least twenty-four non-fiction titles, so two a month (not doing as well in February, but we still have almost half the month, right?). Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics are two books that talk about some things going on in society and their causes and effects. They're both really interesting reads but I most definitely prefered Freakonomics to Superfreakonomics. .
How's your reading going so far this year? Are you picking up more physical books, e-books, or audiobooks? I think I've been reading audiobooks the most so far this year. I always tend to read a lot more in a year when I pick up a lot of audiobooks. .
I haven’t had the best luck with thrillers recently. I am super excited to read this book though. The premise seems so interesting, and I’ve heard from a lot of people that it’s a lot of fun to read! It’s about a young art student, who decides to find a sugar daddy online. She becomes obsessed with him and things get out of hand very quickly! 🕷
QOTD: Have you read this book? What were your thoughts on it? 🥀

Hello darlings! 😍
Hoy vi “Little Women” (2019) completa jajaja y me gusto y no me gusto.
Me explico. 🥺❤️.

George Morland- Senior grad student and former athlete turned historian. Gained a few pounds since his college lacrosse days...now sports a fuller face and slight belly. Does he remind you of anyone you know? Tag them!
I’ve been a little MIA because... I got engaged last weekend! 💍 I’ve jumped into wedding planning and have been enjoying every minute with my fiancé (wow, that’s still weird to say!). Super excited to start Followers by Megan Angelo! I have tomorrow off so I’ll be spending it reading (duh). Have you read this one yet?

📚 #BOOKFEATURE#BOOKGIVEAWAY 📚
| #gifted@swoonreads |
Do you read romance novels? I’ve been picking up a few here and there and am really into them these days. I think rom coms or thrillers are the perfect palate cleansers to read in between my heavier reads.
I’m grateful that I was gifted with a copy of IF YOU ONLY KNEW by Prerna Pickett. IF YOU ONLY KNEW is about a boy recently released from jail and the daughter of a prosecutor who fall for each other against the odds. Sounds good, right? I’m excited to read this novel, hopefully soon.
I’m also exited to be partnering with @swoonreads and giving away a copy of IF YOU ONLY KNEW.

This Giveaway will end Feb 17th at midnight EST and is for US only for those with public accounts. This giveaway is not affiliated with IG. Must be 18 or have parents’ permission. Winner will be contacted by @storygramtours and will receive a finished copy❤️

Just Finished: The Dream Daughter ❤️ 4/5 ⭐️
This multi-layered story ultimately answers: What are you willing to do for your child?
While I’m the first to admit this isn’t my go-to genre (it’s eerily close to chick-lit 😋) I was taken in by the sweet story. It’s involves a lot of really emotional topics… I found myself relating to multiple themes: the Vietnam War (my dad served there), a woman with a sick baby, solely reliant on hospital care (I had a micro-preemie in the NICU for months), Congenital Heat Defect (CHD) for which I had open heart surgery, and adoption (I’m both an adoptee and adoptive mom)... so this checked LOTS of boxes!! 😭
Time travel is at the heart of this story. I found that part of the story tolerable (it’s hard to do time travel well and believable, frankly)... I know that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I did find the other, more emotional and even sometimes exciting, aspects of the story overrode that part of the story.
Overall this is a sweet story (that also had my heart pounding in moments!) about family and the sacrifices we make for those we love.
Hello fellow bibliophiles! I am coming to you about my very first ARC! It's tripled up on the taboo goodness and I. Am. Here for it.
This book was delicious and @authortamsenparker did a stellar job translating emotion (especially grief) to the page.
I finished this read in one day, the angst had me so tied up. Your hero is trying to navigate hurtles and our heroine just douses them in gasoline and sets them on fire. The chemistry is real, friends. This here is a classic case of 'meant to be'. If you like steamy age gap with more than a dash of control freak alpha, this one is is a must. His custody drops February 25th!

Books I read recently and a short review. 🤓📚 Starting from the bottom: 1️⃣ This book is an interesting concept but I didn’t like the way it was written at first. Basically, the book tells the stories of three different women and they don’t intertwine or anything BUT the author has written them so that all their different chapters are spliced together. I couldn’t get into this AT ALL, so I decided to read the book three times, each time, reading only the chapters for one specific woman at a time. I enjoyed it MUCH better that way so if you also pick up this book and struggle with it, maybe try that way out. 2️⃣ Great book and I highly recommend it. Not the happiest of stories but really well written and felt real. 3️⃣ I was expecting some riveting CIA spy special ops book but this was not that. Basically a blandly told story about a woman who joins the CIA. This book didn’t feel like a very in-depth book and felt like it just glazed the surface of her story. Just because she was in the CIA I don’t think it necessitated a book deal. 4️⃣ Next up? I’m midway through Rules of Civility by Amor Towes.
My current read! I have had my eye on this one for a while, so I’m glad I’m finally reading it. It’s a cute story about a skeptical girl named Flora who befriends a squirrel after he gets sucked up by a vacuum and gains super powers 😊
These three favorite prints are back in stock! These are a few of the patterns that always sell out the quickest and have the highest demand. I’ve restocked them all in limited quantities- grab yours before they’re gone ❤️
Also, reminder that the 20% off sale ends at midnight tonight!
Dica do dia 🦄
Hello loves! Time for some predictive text!! Vine edition 👀 (although, this quote is a viral video) choose one (or some or all !!) of the quotes below to finish up in predictive text 😂

Road work ahead? Yeah, honey I’m glad you enjoyed it
HI WELCOME TO MY HEART AND I WASHED YOUR CAR
How’ve you all been?? It’s been pure CHAOS this semester. I’ve been hella busy and time is flying and I can’t keep up😭 it’s wild we are going into week 5 tomorrow. What the heck??
Anyways, I hope you’re all doing ok. I’m sending all of you love. I’ve been meaning to post but I was struggling to come up with captions...or rather, having the energy to. I’ve been trying to keep up with all my messages and groups but of course, somedays it’s simply liking and I always feel bad about that. But it’s important to remember we are all human and life gets crazy and mental health comes first. It’s ok to not be on top of it all. I’m def NOT balancing everything well but I’m trying to. Been feeling foggy as heck today and I don’t know why. But bubz and I made lava cake and did tons of homework and studying.
ALSOOO I saw Mama Mia last night!!! Got to see two dear friends KILL it on stage and got to talk to some of the cast and basically babble about how talented they were😭 I have so much respect for theater both cast and crew. I also have now had ABBA stuck in my head but I’m not complaining!

Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf .
One word to describe this book - beautiful. Woolf is one of my favourite writers, her style of writing is my greatest inspiration. Through this novel, Woolf takes her readers on a journey - a journey through a crowd of people, a journey of seeing different people, of getting to know them, and essentially, identifying with their struggles. 'Mrs. Dalloway' unfolds the tale of each character with all their every day struggles, their attempts to hold themselves together even when they are falling apart. .
Clarissa Dalloway struggles to maintain the elegant, classy image of a socialite, all while feeling stifled in a marriage with a man she isn't really happy with. With Peter's return, she is forced to come out of her denial and face reality as it is. Woolf's depiction of PTSD through the character of Septimus is brilliant. A veteran of the World War, Septimus suffers without anyone to help him, with the memories of the war, of the death of Evans haunting him, forcing him to make an ultimate choice. From the start to the end, this novel captures the attention of the readers through its simple yet masterful portrayal of the characters as well as their psychology. .
Do give this book a read if you haven't already, Virginia Woolf rarely ever disappoints!

Bisogna parlare, a tutti i costi.
