I wanted to share with you a story about my journey of being a location independent entrepreneur.
I don't know if you knew this, but I started working at a very young age when the term #Entrepreneur wasn't popular at all.
The earliest memory I have of me working was at around 9 years old. I attended a catholic school in Belgium, and the school was run by nuns, I remember asking one of the nuns if I could work during class breaks and that's how I got my first job. I got paid $16/month to clean dishes during lunch breaks and cutting out the weeds from our gardens. ( as you can see in this photo 1992)😊 I made enough money to buy my mom a gift and a cake for her birthday. But most importantly I will always remember that feeling. How it made me feel when I received my first pay. I was so proud of myself for earning it, I felt independent, I felt like I was making a difference, I felt free. 😎
27 years later, this motivation stayed with me and that same feeling allowed me to keep going, to persevere and accomplish many milestones.💪 Do you remember the first time you made a difference? How did it feel? Did you pursue this passion? If not, why?
My message for you today is to remind you that the journey is what matters, not the destination. Keep living each day being happy, if you are more unhappy than happy then do something about it, don't live your life with regrets. Only you have the power to make a change.
Don't measure success in materials goods and money, measure success on how you feel, how you are making a difference around you, how you grow, how you give and serve and gratitude.
Wanna talk about it? Let's chat. http://bit.ly/2nX97aQ
I’m so thankful for FAILURE. ⠀
I’m thankful for tough times. ⠀
I’m thankful for uncomfortable feelings, situations and just crap days. ⠀
I embrace it, and even encourage it. The harder it gets, the tougher I get. It makes my passions thrive, it helps me think bigger and continue to LEARN. Failure is not fatal (pun intended), it’s about having the courage to use it so that it becomes a welcome part of your success story. ⠀
And that ladies and gents, is how we can be unbeatable.⠀
