The Blue Trees is my environmental art installation that has been created in over 30 cities around the world. A work that raises the issues and the madness that comes with the distraction of the old growth forests around the world.
Through the legacy project we create a family fun day that colors saplings by the community and then planted in different parts of the city.
Big thanks to Jeremy & Lil’ G, aka my Installation Team, for hanging the 8’ very cold aluminum Oasis sign yesterday in 20 degree weather! I love you both! ❤️🙏🏽
And a big ole 🎉CONGRATULATIONS🎉 to Ercy for surviving her first year as a restaurant owner!! Oasis Caribbean Cuisine is officially 1-year-old!!! 🥳🥳🥳🐃🌿🍗🐠🥘🥭❤️🙌🏽
Last year when Oasis opened Ercy had a temporary vinyl banner made while she decided on permanent signage and then got so busy with the day-to-day operations that curb appeal was not at the top of her list, a common scenario. She called me in the Summer for a menu board and a-frame and then again in the Fall saying she was ready for a real sign. I was given free reign with the design as Ercy is busy making magic and frying Plantains to perfection (you should definitely try them because they are 🔥) and decided to use Haitian folk art as my inspiration for the logo and graphics and then invented a few plants to paint on the windows and sign. The sign is a Rustoleum black base with One-Shot & Alpha6 details, the windows are acrylic.
There is no missing Oasis from the street now! And to prove it- a very nice woman (Hi Marie! So nice to meet you!) came in saying she drives past the store once a week and never noticed it until she saw the new sign!! no. big. deal. ✨🤗🤗🤗✨
Oasis is at 487 Washington Street in Norwood, MA. Please tell them Mandee sent you!
The snowfall we’ve all been wishing for has arrived. We’ll regret it later, but let’s enjoy it tonight. Great photo of Field’s Corner by IGBoston Member @rob.shearer_photography . Thanks for sharing, Rob!

Melissa with good hair 💋
She’s a natural level 8 and wanted to add depth but lighten her midshaft and ends dramatically. Because I don’t want to ever create problems later on I’m always thinking about how I can achieve this without getting in the way of her next goal.
I opted for wet application because I’m strongest doing it that way and I knew my end result would be blended perfectly.
I root melted her using @schwarzkopfusa Igora Vibrance 7-1 and 7-4 with 6 volume and blended down using my hand and a comb. I applied her lightener immediately following her root application. I used @oligopro extra blonde lightener with full saturation on her miss to ends.
I made a quick judgment to rinse sooner than I should have so I reapplied my lightener on just my ends at the shampoo bowl.
Using BlondMe and 20 volume for about 10 minutes. I put @olaplex in every single application
Glaze Igora Vibrance 1 oz 9,5-21, 1/2oz 9-1 and 1oz clear 🚨Upcoming Classes..
