Today was a good day. 💕I got to sleep in a little bit, have coffee in peace, and made a dent in some editing. I’m also beyond blessed to have wonderful caring friends in my life 🙏🏻
Now it’s time to meet up with one of my brides and finalize her timeline. ✨
Cheers to her wedding next week! 🍾
Three and a half years ago, I was in a time in my life where I was drowning... and this (not so) little church preschool picked me up and gave me hope.
It turned out after studying, testing, interning, and working to get into physical therapy school for 5 years, the field just wasn’t for me.
And when you realize the career you’ve been working toward for so many years isn’t a good fit, things can start to spiral quickly.
I’m a go-getter, over-achiever type, and suddenly I was left without a plan or path.
It wrecked me, mentally and emotionally. For the first time in my life, I felt purposeless.
But I stumbled across a listing looking for a preschool teacher that would be starting mid-year. I had no formal teaching experience, but I did have a degree and 10 years of experience working with kids in a variety of settings.
So I took a chance, and so did they.
And I’m so glad we did, because this job has helped pull me out of the darkness.
Preschool has been the most challenging, yet rewarding job I’ve ever had. It’s why I’m getting my Masters in Education now.
In so many ways, I’m sad this chapter is ending in a few short months. But I also know there’s more ahead, and this job was placed in my life to act as a bridge from where I was then to where I am now. You might even say it was a God thing.
I don’t know exactly what this next year will hold. Finishing my degree, continuing to build my coaching business, taking on all of the newlywed adventures. But I do know one thing... I wouldn’t be where or who I am today without this preschool fam.

Two things happening with this post!
One: I love succulents and sometimes wish I could plant them all over my yard, but let’s be real I live in the thick of the Redwood forest. I’m a little worried though because we’ve gotten no rain this year. I’ve logged 25” when we are usually about 60-70”! One record year a few years ago we had 109” and that year was not fun! With no rain in sight it’s looking like the spring weather and early start to warmth is here to stay. Not good for fire season! Yes, we are already thinking fires!
Second: have you ever thought of using succulents in your bridal bouquet and as part of your wedding day? They are gorgeous and make for a different texture and soft greens in your florals!
