- Reduce stress hormone production
- Improve feelings of happiness
- Free up creativity
- Lower heart rate and blood pressure
- Boost the immune system
- Accelerate recovery from illness
Join our forest bathing teacher, Helena, who was born and raised in the forests of Sweden and has spent the past four years living off-grid in ancient forestry in Sussex, and take a moment to slow down and reconnect with nature at a truly beautiful time of year 🌱

Highly recommended! @isabella.tree 2018 book ‘Wilding’ won the Wainwright’s Golden Book Prize in association with The National Trust - and for good reason. It’s a startling read. -
‘Wilding’ describes an attempt to renew the ecosystem, after decades of intensive agriculture of some 1,400 hectares owned by Tree’s husband Charlie Burrell at Knepp in West Sussex. The project, which began in 2001, is perhaps unique in England, and the results have been spectacular. In what has become a glorious “mess”, the animals live out in the open all year round and give birth unassisted by humans. Formerly common plants – but also rare ones – have returned in profusion, together with insects, bats and other organisms. Scrubland, wetland and other habitats are gradually rewiring themselves as herbicides and pesticides disappear. The increase in the variety and abundance of birds has been particularly astonishing. Even nightingales and turtle doves, whose numbers have crashed nationwide, are returning.

Frosty afternoon on the banks of Loch Leven ❄️❄️❄️
This is "Upstanding", a monotype I made a while ago - part of my tree line series. Have you ever seen a little copse of trees left intact on a rise that's too difficult to plough? I've heard this landscape feature called both a clump and a tump.
The meaning of clump is:
"a small group of trees or plants growing closely together." The meaning of tump is:
1. a small rounded hill or mound; a tumulus.
2. a clump of trees, shrubs, or grass. (Nothing political although I understand it has a different meaning in Texas...) My outline is a similar shape to Wittenham Clumps in Oxfordshire although not intentionally. There are some well known drawings by Paul Nash of this place.
Hanbury Hall, a garden view.
This garden is a reflection and restoration of what it might have been in the 18th century before it was Capability Browned. But let's move beyond the garden because the earlier inhabitants of the hall are something you'd read about in a gossip column of a magazine.
The guy who informalised the gardens was a man named Henry Cecil, and he was a Marquis. He married a wealthy woman named Emma, and their marriage was a shadenfreude disaster.
Emma most likely got bored of dear Cecil, and she started an affair with with the Hanbury curate (as one does), and when she asked to live with said curate, Cecil said no. So she eloped. The story continues, but I'll give that in the next installment of 'Hanbury House, the Soap Opera of Worcestershire'.
Of course you can. That is one of my unique selling points with RebelGD, if you ask, I will do it if I can.
How many times have you seen something that you really like, but it would be even better if only it had different buttons, if it was slightly longer, a little less fitted, or even in a slightly lighter shade of blue/pink/green? This is a service that I can provide so that you get exactly the garment that you’re looking for.
Ask, and ye shall receive. 💖 ————————————————
