Ushguli (elevation 2100m)
One of the most remote and highest inhabited villages in Europe and with the highest number of defensive Svan towers to population ratio (around 30 towers to 70 families!)

Reality Check: 𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐄. As it turns out, it’s actually work. I know a lot of people scoff at online businesses but I’ve got news for you—this is 2019 and more and more people are choosing to build businesses virtually. This business isn’t for everyone and in my 3.5 years, I’ve seen more people come and go than stick it out. I’ve come close a few times when things go too hard.
I don’t know why I thought building a business was supposed to be easy? It’s taken a lot of personal and professional reflection to get to where I am as a fitness professional, business owner, mom, and wife. I make sacrifices on the regular (I’m working on an influencer course now that my kiddo is in bed...when I could be watching F•R•I•E•N•D•S) because I have a vision that is worth pushing for. I dream of changing thousands of women’s lives through health and wellness. I see them standing taller, walking more confidently and living adventurous lives beyond their wildest dreams because they made the decision to put make their health and happiness a priority.
Change begins with us and I’m always looking for other likeminded women who love fitness and adventure and want to leave their positive mark on the world. You can find out more by filling out a Team Wanderlust application in my bio. You’ll hear from me within 24 hours. ✌🏻

To day trip it or overnight it, that is the question? Honestly, whatever your time, ability, interest, funds, and schedule allow. When I was first planning for Dry Tortugas, my plan was to camp there for a night or two. The idea sounds cool, to be so remote, on an island that’ll transform once the day visitor leaves. Plus, I know friends who have done it and gave raving reviews •
I finally nailed a date for the Florida trip based on my friend Kelsi’s work trip that’s taking her to Orlando. Mainly because there’s a tiki place in Fort Lauderdale she wanted to check out, and I was just finding a reason to go to Florida. Also, it’d be fun to have her visit another national park with me so we can continue our Tiki & Park pairing. With the three-day weekend, I can only day trip my way to Dry Tortugas. At first, I was considering the seaplane. Later, I had two friends who were interested to join in on the trip. I ended buying my ferry ticket, and it seems like a good deal for time spent on the island •
The worst part of this all was driving to Key West from Fort Lauderdale at 2.30 AM so I can catch the ferry at 7 AM 😭 I really did not care for the drive and the low speed limit along the way. For my current interest and ability, a day trip there did suffice my desire to see the fort and the blue water. Perhaps someday I’d come back and camp with someone who’s a strong swimmer that can literally hold my hand as we snorkel, and hopefully by then I’ll have iPhone 11 and above so I can do night photography without the additional camera equipments 😅😋 •
But until then, there’s no FOMO here. Everyone has different interests and abilities. Your “must do” list doesn’t always matches mine, which is probably why I very rarely ask people on their “must do” when it comes to parks and foods. Over time, I’ve learned that my interests aren’t necessarily mainstreams. And to balance that off, I rarely give people recommendations unless I’m being asked to since I dislike unsolicited advices 😋 #drytortugas#fortjefferson#drytortugasnationalpark#weekendwarrior
