Today our principal consultant Steve was out documenting a house which had structural damage and required a building report for an insurance claim. A report will be provided to the homeowner and insurance company to assist in identifying the defects and their cause, a method of rectifying the situation and a cost estimate of anticipated costs of construction repairs. A lime plinth that we’ve installed 7-8 yrs ago, with both modern and traditional tar damp courses. Good to see the salt related deterioration has been contained below dpc. Exactly as we’d planned and not breaching the dpc has reduced maintenance considerably. 👌

The penalty for non-compliance is N100, 000 plus one-year imprisonment, and sealing-off or demolition of the building under the federal and the Lagos State laws.⠀
