It's wild to think that these amazing mountains have been in my backyard the whole time I was growing up and I never knew it! I can't think of a single time I went up to visit the Maroon Bells as a kid/teenager... My priorities were different then. Since there wasn't a chairlift to a terrain park on these mountains they weren't really on my radar...
As an adult, I've grown to value SO much more about what Colorado has to offer. I still love snowboarding in the park but I also LOVE earning my turns or walking back as far as my feet will take me into these wilderness areas. I have explored more of the Maroon Bells Wilderness this summer than all my years before this combined!
I am grateful for my home in Colorado and with that, I really like to support local companies. has been a supporter of me and my adventures for almost 4 years now. In the summer I almost exclusively wear their hats and in the winter I almost exclusively wear their beanies. I'm also almost always wearing my Colorado socks from them under my hiking boots. If you followed me last winter than you would have seen me wear this particular beanie MANY times. It's called the Women's Apres Pom and I have it in a few different colors now. They also make mens or unisex beanies and I find them to be the best quality I've found yet.
Fall is coming and if you need some new beanies feel free to use my code "YoArielle" for 20% your order. Whether you are from Colorado or not you can rest assured that these beanies are amazing! (photo by )

Day 15. This was the last day I had camped in front of Pangong Lake & waking up to a beautiful sunrise behind the lake over the mountains in the morning was all I needed to end the Leh, Ladakh trip. Cheers to more such beautiful mornings! 🌅

At a height of 3,461 feet, it lies to the north of the A896 road, in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland, and has two peaks of Munro status: Spidean a' Choire Lèith at the east of the main ridge, and Mullach an Rathain at the western end of the mountain.

Free pancakes at @ihop were pretty enticing, but I decided to spend Veterans Day drinking bourbon in natural hot springs under a full moon 🥃🌕⛺

Photo and caption from @moonmountainman - Far and away the most common, now daily, question that I get is “what do you do for a living and how can you afford to travel and live the life that your living?” So I guess it’s time for another post to answer it. Well the first part of this question is really easy to answer. I am currently working as a full time photography and have been doing so for just over a year now. Before that I spent 7 years working as a full time Registered nurse in a hospital (so all the photo you see more then a year ago, I was working as a full time nurse, more or less 😉, to make those trips happen. )
Now for the second part of the question is harder to answer in a satisfactory way. This is because more often then not the questioners ideas of what is affordable travel and the life I’m living don’t align with my reality and ideas,
But the answer is really simple, We live within our means and, thus far we are healthy. This means we don’t have debt, we don’t eat out . We rarely ever spend more then $20 for a place to stay at night when traveling (most of the time we don’t pay anything), We own one old inexpensive vehicle. Our rent although more then we’d like is less then most places, We try to avoid buying things that we don’t need..... anyways I think you get the picture.
The end result is that even though perhaps we don’t make a lot of money, we purposefully spend the money that we do have on chasing our dreams and our idea of a good life.
Obviously there is a lot to explain in order to answer this question fully. If you’d like hear the full answer and also learn about being a photographer, social media and a lot more that contributes to over all answer, you should join me at one of my photography workshops or wait until I get around to writing a book some day, but until then I’ll do my best to answer as many follow up questions as I’ve got time for here. Once again and as always, thank you for your support. - #Campinghiking
