Privileged to photograph the remarkable Mohamed Salah for the cover of (one of 4) World Cup editions of @SportsIllustrated. As a person he is kind generous and lovely guy and has a real aura around him. As you can see we had to build a photo studio in a conference room for this shot, far from ideal but needs must. A great and memorable day.

Brave (K)new Rave - Work in progress, Tania Soubry, @taniasoubry
Jedno z moich ulubionych zdjęć - Tania w swoim tańcu zdaje się dotykać w pewnym momencie brzegu kadru - ale przecież wiemy, że żadne ograniczenie dla niej nie istnieje... Ograniczenie w tańcu? No chyba, że iluzja.
Look for @michaelchad757 on your music service of choice. Also look out for an upcoming featured interview in a soon to come episode of Sean IRL. For this photo we took a walk down memory lane as we shot photos and chatted about what life was like growing up in the Virginia Beach area. This photo showcases why sometimes you shouldn't wait until you "feel like it" to get something done. I know for a fact Mike was a bit sick during our shoot, but you'd never know it. Also later on after capturing some images, during lunch we talked about my Dad being gravely ill. That alone has taken a lot out of me. But I think we both stepped up to the occasion and took advantage of the day. Later on that evening I witnessed an energetic session in the studio as he put the finishing touches on a track that I look forward to hearing more of. I think you'll enjoy it too.
Also you can hear this upcoming episode and past episodes of Sean IRL on most podcast services.
PORTRAITS OF HUMANITY: Yanamayo (Indigenous Andean) 14,038’ elevation. // I spent weeks living in Yanamayo. It never really rained ...and never really stopped raining. When the clouds became too wet, everyone retreated indoors. Hot tea, roasted guinea pig, and long conversations; these were the social times. The women wove, the men told stories, and a small battery-powered radio kept the cadence with distant music……. ‘There were over a hundred condors at a time. Just a few now, but when I was a kid we would catch them. Dig a hole, cover it up, hide underneath. Put a dead llama on top. When a condor lands on the hole, you grab him by the head and kill him. It’s scary. We’d dry the meat and use the bones for knitting. The skin is good for storing coca leaves. My mother would burn the feathers and use the ash for medicine. Condors have many uses, but they’re also a problem. They kill the llamas. A condor lands on a llama's back and sits there. Then he takes his beak, sticks it in the llama’s anus and pulls out the intestines. He keeps pulling out the intestines until the llama dies. We’re poor and need our animals. We’re not supposed to kill the condors now, but people do. The Inca’s raised them for food. They’re not sacred.’ — Isidro Mamani

Creative January for me was first just a way to stop making excuses and try to be more creative in the studio. It ended up evolving into a motivator and inspiration machine where people from all over - and all sorts of creative outlets - made a promise to themselves to be creative every other day and share with others. I’m so moved at the posts I’ve been seeing; writers, makeup artists, crafters, and photographers sharing in on something daily - even if it’s unfinished, imperfect, and just a crazy idea they had. It’s truly so cool to break the limits we set for ourselves in what we’re supposed to share and do; and just follow creativity- whenever and wherever it takes you!
This shoot was a simple yet perfect. Just my beautiful friend @teamunicorncarl and myself creating simply beautiful images in about 1 hour of shooting 🙈
