Have you ever seen a camel?
Today we saw camels for the first time. Seriously! We were a little hesitant to ride just because feeling guilty about animal cruelty and how they are treated (similar to elephant riding in Thailand) but we did a lot of research and the company we went with really appeared to take great care of them. We had a blast on our two hour desert tour, complete with a break for moroccan mint tea, and pancakes!

#Inktober Day 11: Lapland ❄🌨☃️
Those who know me are probably aware that I would gladly settle in the Caribbean to avoid the cold and snow for the rest of my life. However once in a lifetime I would like to visit the sub-arctic winter wonderland Lapland. Main reason: obviously Aurora Borealis- incredible phenomenon known as Northern Lights, which nature's own theatrical performance and best light show. But it's not the only attraction, that draws me to travel to the very North of Finland.
1) Snow's not too bad every once in a while- especially when it stays clean, crunchy and doesn't melt into a wet, muddy mess. If you combine it with the cleanest air on the planet, beautiful landscapes and a lot snow activities on offer- it actually sounds like fun. Especially the dog sled opportunity.
2) Santa's village. Even tho Edward Scissorhands is still my favourite childhood hero associated with snow (Sorry Santa!) the little wooden huts look stunning in the snow and the overall Christmas spirit sounds very tempting. And to be honest, it's actually the bunch of friendly reindeers I would be most excited about.
3)Ranua Wildlife Park with a lot of other arctic beauties in their natural habitat: polar bears, brown bears, wolves, deer, lynxes, etc. Just like a ZOO, but so much cooler (literally!). Not to mention the ice bar inside an actual igloo waiting with some nice rum to keep you warm.

Dame Traveler @alina_bunny_ 🇺🇸 You have two feet made for movement. Made for journeying further, made for pushing you onward, made for propelling your body towards your ever-changing destination. You have two eyes made for viewing sunsets over hillsides. Made for viewing dark nights that settle over the sparkling skyline, and buzzing, bright city intersections, soaking in the colors and textures and days filled with more visceral memories a mind could hold. You have one heart made for compassion, and one mind made for curiosity. And one lifetime you must fill chapters with. You are the script writer, the artist, the author, the producer. Yes, you are the captain. You are not unworthy, you are not weak minded or weak spirited. You are more than your title, your standing, your rank. Abandon the expectations, the critic, the naysayer. Reside in your strengths, find home in your heart. Celebrate the inner, quiet light you kindle internally Through the stories you create and will continue to create. 🖊 @roamandgolightly#dametravelerarizona#dametraveler
