Well sorry I ghosted! We got back from vacation a week and a half ago, and I was ready for all the fall 🍁 things. And then Mother Nature laughed and it was almost 90 degrees for a week. I hit the ground running though when we returned and shot 2 beautiful weddings I can’t wait to share photos from! Fall seniors and fall family portrait sessions are in full swing. September is the busiest wedding month of the year this year! .

My mood at the moment! A mug of hot choc, twinkly lights and cosy blankets...id live every day like this! What are your autumn essentials?!
So what would be the band name ?! 😂. Every time I take their pics they get this moody feel and it looks like I’m shooting an album cover ! .
As warm as it is, Autumn is the season that becomes a game changer for every dappled dog owner out there, searching for them amongst their natural camouflage !! .
Wally is with us he just declined the photo 🤭.
My definition of happy. The waves, sunshine, quiet time, my magazine, a pastry (always) and my fave drink. I sometimes need to reset and recharge especially after feeling heavy energy. I’ve been reading and listening to a lot lately about the ‘swampy’ (as I heard it described) energy of the changing season from summer to autumn. Whilst I love the crisp mornings, cosy darker evenings, the ‘hygge’ of lighting a fire and burning candles, there is also a melancholy for the passing of summer with it’s light nights, holiday adventures, time with the kids and the freedom that brings. So when I feel this energy in and around me, I try to find time to do something I love to shift it. Today is doing just that 👌🏻 #shiftingenergy#changingseasons#healingwaves@inthemomentmag#mylittleplaceofcalm

There is a definite nip in the air in the mornings – the chill of autumn is taking her hold. Thoughts turn to comfort – warm fires, blankets, and food that warms the soul as well as the stomach. The Scandinavian idea of hygge rears its head at this time of year – the cosiness that can be found everywhere, such as through the simple pleasure of lighting a candle and taking warmth from its flickering golden glow. And, it naturally turns to food – seeking as much comfort as you can through dishes that nurture. .
Today, my breakfast was a great example of this comfort. I have had a headache for a few days now, lingering and behind the eyes – not quite a migraine, but certainly stubborn. An extra hour in the relative cool darkness of my bedroom and then on to the peppermint tea. But I needed substance, and something that would bring this hygge feeling. Not quite porridge, but more than just a bowl of cereal of a slice of toast. Enter my favourite bircher museli from @rudehealth, served with @oatly oat milk, Woodlands live sheep yoghurt, raspberries fresh from @norwichpyo, and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds. All served in a beautiful bowl from the Porcelite collection at @foodcare_direct .
The comfort I sought has been found, the headache slowly easing. My beautiful black cat is curled up behind me in my office, and I can get on with the tasks for the day: deadlines, meetings, and enjoying the beautiful change of season happening around us. . . . . . .

🍂Pumpkin Patch Bear 🍂
This sweet pumpkin bear is a pattern test for Jennifer @crochettoplay (not that I needed to test anything her patterns are perfect ) 🎉Birthdays call for hand made presents and this one is heading to a birthday party tonight 🎁
Sometimes you have to do something different to get your creative juices flowing. I've been so busy and overwhelmed by all the excitement of late that I have had trouble finding inspiration to paint. It started feeling somewhat forced and that was no fun. So I decided to forget about art place openings and commissions I need to get cracking on, and just have fun. And it was fun. What a relief! 😅 This is still quite wet, it will be interesting to see how it dries! #ingridssilkpainting #theartplacefinland
