Given that I’m not generally a big spender, and that the only thing I really put disposable income towards is craftbeer, giving me @vesselplymouth vouchers is pretty much equivalent to giving me cold hard cash😆💰💵 So thanks to everyone who gave me vouchers for either Xmas or my birthday - it’s greatly appreciated. I’m trying to eke them out and not spend them all at once, so I popped in at the weekend to pick up this mini haul, which includes beers from two new breweries to me🍻 - @broadenbuildcph - Jaunty - Amarillo Neipa
- @verdantbrew - Track And Field - IPA
- @odysseybrewco - Don’t Cross The Line - IPA - @verdantbrew - Some Fifty - Pale Ale
In Castigo by @pastorebrewing .
Local breweries. The beer tastes better because it’s local. In a sea of IPAs sometimes it can tip the balance in favour of a beer that is actually pretty middle of road. Not every town can have a world class brewery, but support your clan and all that .
Middle of the road couldn’t describe Pastore any less. Loving that this is local but I’d still guzzle it down if they brewed it on the moon. Tartness that screwed my face up to start, but subsided to deliver on the promised lemon and lime. Add this to the excellent @calverleysbrewery and Cambridge beer is looking pretty tidy .
Picked up from @thirstyandhungrycambridge who specialise in sour and mixed ferm beers.

This weekend, the Year of the Metal Rat has begun. January 25 was the Lunar New Year, aka Chinese New Year.
Rat is a symbol of fertility and abundance. Additionally, metal symbolizes stability and longevity.

If I pop a bottle of @armanddebrignac for you, you know I love you. 🥰 Opened up this special bottle for my dads birthday - the big 71! And for any of you who know him, know how deserving he is. 🥂 Ok, lets talk about this Champagne. The Gold Brut is the most popular of the portfolio, and is a trio of vintages to create a cuvée, with a unique dosage - all grapes come from some of the best cru villages within Montagne de Reims. 🍇 This wine is a beautiful blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier - the grapes that are typically used to create a cuvée. Guys, this Champagne is dangerous - it goes down wayyyy too easy and you will not want to stop drinking it. Slight notes of apricot, orange blossom, lemon zest, vanilla and honey come across on the palate. What I loved most was how integrated and balanced everything was - nothing overpowered the rest. Sometimes with Champagne it’s either really “briochey” (yeasty) to me or really acidic - this was the perfect marriage. I now understand the hype. This was a real treat. Thank you again @champagne.bacchus! 🍾✨
