Porsche wheel and tyre sets are an essential component when it comes to driving pleasure and driving safety. That’s why we require all tyres to prove their Porsche compatibility under the toughest conditions.

It only takes a split second for something to go wrong & it almost did today.
While I was stopped at a red light in town, the lead vehicle on the green light to my right failed to see a cyclist waiting at the intersection virtually beside his passenger door. The vehicle & cyclist both took off at the same time when the lights changed but thankfully they both saw each other & stopped.
So while they were waiting on the red light who didn’t see who, was the cyclist too trusting thinking they had been seen by the driver..? Did the driver forget to give way to the cyclist on the green walk signal..? I don’t know but it may have been a nasty incident as the cyclist also wasn’t wearing a helmet.
Observing this occur also brings to mind the beautification projects around the crossings in this area. They sure look nice but I know I’ve been caught by pedestrians camouflaged by shrubs or bollards. On another corner there are also two large square rubbish bins side by side which obstruct the drivers view to pedestrians, in particular children.
While I supervise drivers on the simulator I remind them that not all crossings have clear vision. We practice checking early for pedestrians while approaching a crossing & rechecking. Not all pedestrians are slow moving either. Beware the “kamikaze” pedestrian (as named by client MattH :) as in the simulator they can suddenly cross the road when you least expect it. In real life this can include scooters & bicycles.
If you are interested to try the simulator head over to my website for more information. I’d be happy to answer any questions also.
So while on the roads, be on the look out at all times & slow down when there is poor vision. Hopefully accidents will in turn be minimal. Stay safe everyone!
Circa 2008. That time the first Smart Cars hit the market in San Francisco and I was lucky to be one of the first ones to have one. I remember driving it home and people blatantly pointing at the car with gaped mouths.
Cheaper than any other car on the market, super efficient on gas and so easy to find parking for in the city. I loved it... except, of course, driving it across the Bay Bridge on a windy day when I would have thoughts of being blown away by a gust of wind.
I ended up selling it in 2010 to a TV show. Listed it on craigslist for $8,000, which was more than what I bought it for. They bought it for $10,000 within hours of me listing it because they needed it that same day. #secretlifeINTJ#smartcar#smart#fuelefficiency#citydriving#urbandrivestyle#smartcarusa
