On the evening of September 16, 1956 crowds gathered outside department stores and in homes across Australia to witness the momentous event when TCN-9 flickered into life with the famous words "Welcome to television" uttered by Bruce Gyngell.
Television sets cost three times the monthly wage in those days and only about 2,000 homes in Australia's biggest city had one on opening night.

For anyone just starting with investing into crypto, I recommend you start with #Coinbase .From here you can transfer money from your #bank to buy crypto #coins . At the prices right now you're going to kick yourself when you see the prices rocket and wonder why the hell didn’t I just invest £20 or £30, something you’d spend easily for a meal or few beers down the pub. That could buy you a handful of ZRX coins newly listed on Coinbase as I’ve already covered in my story and post. Now let's be clear I'm not posting this for the sole purpose of earning free money for a referral, but that’s exactly what you can do when you get your friends or family to sign up via your referral link. Yes, I’d be more than grateful for anyone that uses it as it benefits us both however, I’m sharing this so you can share your referral with others. When they sign up and deposit / buy £75 worth of crypto, you both get £7 free. Free money! I’m sharing this because I know some of you are cautious, may be thinking of getting into crypto and investing which is great, but not sure where to start. I've left my link below but honestly, I’m not bothered if you use it or not but certainly make use of it for yourself when you talk about it with your friends and family. Get researching and don't forget, never invest more than you can afford to lose. You’re not going to be a millionaire overnight, but you could easily flip your £75 into £750 in due time
Cleaning silvered coins is always a challenge for me. But I think this Salonina coin came out really great - most of the silver layer is left intact, despite that I removed a very problematic encrustations and treated this coin against Bronze disease.
BTW - if you want to know what godess is depicted on a reverse, try and solve this riddle - Why Queen Elizabeth I was proud to hold a sieve in her hands? 🧐

🇬🇧 In 2016 in the necropolis of Ala Tey, in the republic of Tuva, in Siberia, the archaeologists have discovered a tomb of a young woman with a hige belt buckle inside. The huge rectangular plaque, dating back to the Xiongnu period, is made of coal with inserts of precious stones including: turquoise, carnelian and mother of pearl. The buckle is large 18 cm X 9 cm and was decorated with Chinese Wu Zhu coins. These coins allowed the archaeologists to date the discovery to 2137 years ago.
The necropolis of Ala Tey, has been called "The Russian Atlantis" because the site is constantly submerged by the waters of the so-called "Sea of Seyan" - a gigantic artificial water basin upstream of the Sayano-Shushenskaya dam. The archaeologists can excavate here only a few weeks a year, between May and June, as the basin is drained thus becoming a desolate expanse of sand.
