Bada Bagh , also called Barabagh is a garden complex about 6km north of Jaisalmer on the way to Ramgarh at Rajasthan .
This place features a series of Royal cenotaphs or chhatris of Jaisalmer Maharajas, including that of Jai Singh II (Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh). All the cenotaphs here have a beautifully carved celling (pic 1) and elegant equestrian statues (pic 2) of rulers.

Cooling down in the courtyard of the Garden Palace or Badi Mahal of Udaipur’s City Palace. It’s a shady courtyard on the roof of the palace.
Here’s what nobody tells you about visiting city palace:
⌚️Get there at 9:30 in tourist season. Any later and you’ll want to skip the crowds. 🚗 Parking is available inside.
🙋🏽♂️Avoid the guides, heard a lot of them making up all sorts of stories.
👌 It’s actually really stunning
Have you been to Udaipur?
Would you believe this stunning view is just outside Udaipur?? Neither did we when we first saw pictures of it, so we absolutely had to go see it for ourselves!! Here’s everything you need to know:
1. Type “Bahubali Hills” in Google Maps
2. Follow the road to Badi Lake
3. When you hit a fork in the road, take the steep one to the right
4. When you see a bridge across the water on your left, take that left.
5. When you see the Upin bend with a sign for silence resort , follow it
6. You’ll find a sign for Bahubali Hills Parking
7. Trek uphill for 10 mins and enjoy the view SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY.
Seeing Jaisalmer from a completely different perspective thanks to @suryagarh
This was Charles’ 3rd time in Jaisalmer, and even he had to admit that the city tour that Suryagarh arranged for us was just fantastic. Manishji - our guide gave us some unique insight into the history, legends, way of life and architecture of Jaisalmer and the region at large.
