Two of my fav things in one photo ..... Coffee & Daylesford Farm 🖤
Anyone who hasn’t made a visit to @daylesfordfarm really needs to ..... From Solihull it’s roughly an hours drive , but such a nice little drive out through all the Cotswolds .
There is Such a nice eating / drinking area / restaurant ....
A menu of tasty organic food to choose from all locally sourced or grown on their on farms.
Large choice of food / drink to buy to take home .
We always end up with a few bags of goodies to take home !
This visit we brought the yummiest sausages which we had with mash and veg , lashings of thick onion Gravy !
They were GOOD SAUSAGES 😋
There is plenty to do from just grabbing a take out coffee and sitting by the fire pit out in the court yard to making a day of it at the onsite spa !
And the best part it’s DOG FRIENDLY 🐶
Put it on your places to visit List (you won’t be disappointed)
You may even bump in The Beckhams or Amanda Holden who visits every now and then !!!! Never been lucky enough to bump into them yet ( there’s always hope )
And there are some great little towns to visit on your way home Broadway is another one of my favs .
Third day in Cirencester flew by. After breakfast we went to Gloucester to visit the cathedral were first of all some scenes in Harry Potter has been shot, and second there was this supercool exhibition of the moon 🌚 (1 cm on this sphere equals 5 km on the real thing!) Had some wonderful and rainy hours in Gloucester before returning "home" and later had a dinner and the mandatory beer 🍺
Day 4 (9 mi): Crickley Hill -> Birdlip -> Painswick. “To the Trees. To the Trees.” Was a wet and very rainy day, spent mostly in the trees, with the final leg across a supposedly very difficult but not very interesting looking golf course. The town and people of Painswick are lovely through and we are big fans of local pub The Royal Oak. We also passed the hill of the classic Gloucester Cheese Roll (picture 4, with the fence in the foreground, does not do it or the steepness of the hill justice; look it up on YouTube. You’re welcome). #cotswolds#celtictrails#robinhood
