무슨일이 있어도 라는 전제는 통상 지켜오는거니까. ' 그 자리 꼭 있어야 하는 자기자신 그리고 최선 '
만약 최선이라는 기준없는 하루의 시작은 하루의 끝도 마찬가지일뿐.
분명 각자의 강함을 가졌을터 이제는 꺼낼때.
지금은 그게 최선이라고 생각된다.
지금 나에게 최선이란, 언제고 어느시간이든 난 이곳에서 언제고 찾아와주시는 고객들 그리고 지금의 이야기들을 나누며 최선에대해 공유하다.
이 한잔, 결코 식지도 변하지도 않을 마음을 그리고 힘을 담는다.

Out of the mist we ride... 😎
Beautiful pic from @henknphoto, just wow. 👏🏽 Mist, rain ☔💦 & burning sunshine 🌞🔥 all in a few hours. Had fun out there. Painful painful fun. 🤪 Even got the hotspot with a quick sprint at 47km. After our 8 man break was pulled in at 50km (or so?) @teamcustomized went on a constant attack for the next 30km that almost killed me. 😂 No lies... 😨
Completed my first Frostbite 40 today! ❄️ It will not be my last. The gravel was perfect today. The cookies were delicious. 🍪 The hills were rolling but we kept going... ended with 42 miles with 2,372 ft of climbing. It was great meeting new friends and seeing familiar faces! Badass day today, everyone killed it!🤘
Instead of beating myself up 🙅🏻♀️ for taking so much time off the bike 🚴🏻♀️...I’m gonna give myself some grace. 🥰
Sometimes we get bored or scared or for whatever reason need to switch things up. And that’s ok! 🙌🏼
In the case of my beautiful bike - absence makes the heart grow fonder! We will be hanging out a lot more often - promise!! 😘

In 2011 the CDC reported 11 percent of the US is on anti-depressant medication, but new research now indicates diet is the first line of defense to alleviate symptoms of depression. Given the abundance of seasonal and holiday foods which are often very high on the glycemic index – sugary and full of simple carbs which delight the taste buds but can wreak havoc with human body systems including the gut and depression. The Whitehall Study II was described in Forbes magazine in 2017. The Whitehall Study followed over 8000 people for 22 years and found: “Over-consumption of sugar triggers imbalances in certain brain chemicals, upping the chances of outcomes like depression and anxiety. In particular, it seems excess sugar impacts dopamine – the neurotransmitter that fuels the brain’s reward system – not unlike a potent narcotic. Since addiction and mood disorders are closely associated, it may be that sugar plays a role similar to cocaine in powering the mood roller-coaster. And sugar is increasingly linked to cellular inflammation, which more evidence is revealing is a likely culprit in the onset of depression.” Yes it can be “the most wonderful time of the year any holiday” as the singers croon over the canned holiday music everywhere you go anytime of year, but the sadness of loss and the people missing from the traditions and the dinner table can be raw and hard to manage. Very few will consider the effect of those sugar dainties as a factor in making any season more difficult to manage.
I am working to avoid making ALL seasons less moody and stressful by monitoring the glycemic index of foods eaten -nothing above 50 – google to find out the GI. I am also bucking up my vitamin D, supplementing with magnesium (handful of walnuts works too!) and taking probiotics. And when I go to any event, I will have a protein shake before I leave the house to be sure not to go hungry to any event, as I make it truly the most wonderful time of the year on the daily!!!
